Is there a magnetic deck lid coming for my 2013 Mustang ??

        • At the current time, there are no magnetic decklid panels available for the 2013 or 2014 Mustangs.

Has anyone tried this on the 13-14 GT's? Based off what I read, it appears that the only difference between the decklid's for the 2010-2012 is that there are some holes in the trunk for fastners. But for the most part everything is held by 3M, so I don't see why this panel couldn't work with a 14.

        • Unfortunately, the Magnetic Decklid Blackout Panel (10-12 All) is only designed for all 2010 to 2012 Mustangs. There is an issue with the curves not fitting perfectly together. This may not fit properly on a 13-14 GT.

Washing car with panel on? Can I keep it on the car while washing it?

        • You should not have any issues keeping it on while washing your car; however I would recommend removing it every now and then to clean around the edges.

            Just OK...

Arrived in an envelope, all folded up. Had to attach it to the side of a refrigerator just to try and flatten it out. Still has one pointed corner that won't lay flat. Is a very flat black color that leaves streaks when you try to shine it with Armor All or similar product. Not happy with this item and I would not purchase it again.

4 stars because I only had it for 1 day

Not bad for the price. I was skeptical on buying it at first because of some of the reviews, it was easy to flatten and install. The top edges don't stick that well but it’s not really noticeable unless you are close up on the car and looking hard.

Looks good from far, but far from good

This panel is super easy to install and looks fine from far away, but when you get up closer, you can see that it's not cut perfectly straight. When I got it positioned as best I could, you could still see some of the white of my deck lid peeking out at the bottom.

Good to see if you like the color, quality is bad

So when I first put the panel on my car I noticed that the fit isn't perfect. It will always be off just a little. Admittedly it isn't super noticeable if you're 10 feet away. Also the top corners don't stick to the car. Like for some reason it's not magnetic. Over time is where it really sucks. Every time you take it off, it'll stretch the hole around the emblem, making the already not perfect fit even worse. I've only taken it off a couple times to wash my car. Also I feel weather may be a factor. It's just not gonna last you a long time. Again, it's a good non permanent thing to get to see if you'll like the color, but overall quality is poor.

            Unimpressive

The trimming on this is not good. Top of the magnet has noticeable dip line. Hole around the emblem is way off. Ends of the magnet near the taillights won't stay down. Severe band in the magnet from how it was shipped. Wish I had gone the decal route or had money for the O.E. one.

            After one year of use...

Now that I've been using the magnetic decklid for a year, I feel that I can post an honest review. In short, save your money. The cover doesn't fully cover the factory decklid and it has also cracked from exposure to the Texas sun. To make matters worse, I now have oxidation on my decklid along with small rust spots from water build up. My advice if you do get it is to take it off regularly to clean it and your decklid. When I first got it, I loved it and it looked very sharp. Over time, however, it started to fade quite a bit. For the price, you're getting a good style upgrade but I this was designed to be long term in any way.

            It's OK but...

It's OK for the price and looks good too. But over time and exposure to the sun, it doesn't adhere tightly at the edges. I ended up using 3M double sided trim tape but ultimately replaced it with a Ford OEM decklid panel.

            Looks Clean

Easy to install, cheap, looks good. Takes about 30 minutes to an hour to clean and flatten it but you can just leave it under a mattress. After you clean and flatten you can just put it on the car. It is easy to remove and adjust so no stress.

It’s a fair deal for the price w/immediate results. The base cut could be a little bit straighter.

            Cheap but decent.

This is an OK product. The area around the faux gas cap is sub par because it will show the color of your car along the edge. It sticks pretty well, and the only issue I had was with the carwash. Mine actually ripped a corner off while going through, but that's my fault for not taking it off.
