    Features & Details

    • Super Low Profile, Only 4" in Height
    • Cleaner and Sportier Appearance
    • Excellent Radio Reception (May Vary By Location)
    • Clear Anodized 6061-T6 Billet Aluminum Construction
    • Includes Base and Mount
    • Fits All 2010-2014 Mustangs
Sleek 4" Design. Ditch that ugly 14" eyesore Ford calls an antenna and replace it with a super sleek Scott Drake 4" Short Billet Antenna available from AmericanMuscle. By losing 10", your 2010-2014 Mustang will look much cleaner and much more sleek.

Excellent Radio Reception. If you live in an area with a strong radio reception, there's no difference in the quality of the radio reception. If you are in an area with a poor radio signal, the radio reception may be affected. All you're losing is 10" of unsightly black steel from the rear of your car.

High Quality Construction. This Scott Drake 4 inch antenna is CNC machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum and is completed in a clear anodized finish that is both scratch and weather resistant. The antenna fits like an OEM part, but gives you that sporty aftermarket look. It includes base, mount and easy to follow instructions.

Easily Fits Under a Car Cover. You will never have to worry about damaging your antenna or having to take it off any time you put your cover on. This low profile antenna will fit right under your car cover.

Application. This Scott Drake Billet Aluminum Short 4" Antenna fits all 2010 to 2014 Mustangs, including the V6, GT, Boss, and Shelby GT500 models.

It is recommended to use a T-67 Bezel Installation Tool for easier installation. See buy together option above.

Can this be painted? My car is black and I would prefer to have a smaller antenna but not chrome. Could this be painted to match the car?

    • Dear Sean, I have the shorter antenna but it has more of a satin or even stainless steel look. My Mustang is Sterling Gray Metallic and this antenna is a big improvement over the standard black antenna. I don't think painting it would take and if it did, I don't think it would meet your expectations.

Love the look. Two of us have 2011 V6 Mustangs and we both got the antenna. I lose a lot of reception. It may be because I live in a rural area. Install with the tool was easy. Driving into town reception gets better. Of course stock antenna did not have this problem. Ended up wrapping the bottom part of the antenna with a small amount of foil ( A little ghetto) but its under the antenna and you cant see it. It seemed to increase my signal, almost as good as stock.

      Looks better

I am an aircraft mechanic and have been for the last 24 years, so I am used to improvising and getting by without special tools when needed. While trying to remove the stock antenna I almost regretted my arrogance in not buying the tool for this. I managed to use a shop towel, small hammer, a small torx driver and carefully tapped it out. Did the same on the install keeping the bezel covered with the towel so if I slipped I did not scratch the paint. It took a couple of hair raising minutes but Luckily I didnt slip! Buy the tool then resell it on line for almost what you bought it for, if not take your time and be super careful! So far looks good and reception seems the same as before.

Matches well with the exterior color of my Mustang

With this install I did purchase the key for a extra 20 bucks made the whole process very easy to install. Things I did make mistakes on were forgetting to switch over the rubber gasket from old stock antenna to the new shorty. And over tighten the bolt that holds it in place did not leave for a good fit. After realizing what I did wrong I just loosen the bolt up a little by little which created a snugger fit for the antenna and the bezel it went into.

Looks Awesome but FM reception takes a HIT!

I love the look, but sadly the antenna has dramatic affect on your FM reception. I live less than 20 miles from Toronto where most of the radio stations that I listen to have their transmitters. After the installation of the shorty ... well all I have to say I'm using my Itunes account more than I used to. But it looks great!

      my pony

I purchased the antenna for looks. I just got back from a road trip and had a chance to try it out to see what kind of reception it actually would get. Didn't need to because I'm hooked on my bluetooth but wanted to be able to give a good review. Seems to work ok and picked up stations most of the time. I was driving in Nebraska and towns are kind of far apart.

      works great with white o-ring

Taking the old antenna off and replacing with billet antenna was fairly easy, but I could not get any reception except one station. I was getting frustrated with this until I read a fellow reviewer that mentioned the white O ring. I took the white O ring off base of old antenna with a knife (very carefully) and slid it over the long billet nut (the one that you use of the special tool for) to the base of nut. I now receive all the stations I used to get with almost same quality in sound. I'm guessing it keeps the antenna from touching base that is connected to car. Thanks to the other reviewer for giving my sanity and my music stations back.

      I want my radio back

I bought this billet shorty for my 2010 GT500. It looks great, was easy to install, but my radio didn't work any more. I got no AM stations at all. I got very few FM stations and they were full of static. I would not recommend this product. Jim C.

      Awesome

This thing looks so much better then stock.would definitely not encourage trying to install this without the tool.I to had almost no reception after install, what they do not tell you in the directions is that you need to remove the white o ring from the top of the antenna base and place it between the new base and antenna.after doing so crystal clear reception just like factory.i hope this helps. Let Down

I've been happy with 99% of the products i've purchased from AM but this one fell way short of acceptability. It's a cheap part, plain and simple. The quality isn't close to what i want on my ride.

      Shorty Nice Product

Easy to install using the special tool. Product looks great. The base re-uses the factory washer which doesn't fit perfect the alunimum base is a bit wider than the washer. The manufacturer should machine the widest part of the base down to fit the factory washer, or provide their own. No loss of signal I could detect.

Billet Shorty Antenna - 4 inch (10-13 All)

Was looking for some new accessories to make the outside appearance of my pony look even better. Came across this item. I don't use the radio in my car that much, so radio reception wasn't a big issue for me. Radio stations in my area are not that good. But if you're like me, and just use the satellite radio or ipod. You will have no problem. It makes the appearance look a whole lot better than having that big antenna hanging on the back of your sweet ride.

      looks good . bad recieption.

I needed this so i can use a nice car cover without making a hole in it. But recieption suffers. But it stills looks cool. If you use your radio alot then i would not recommend it.

      Nice look....but reception problems

The install was a pain even with the tool. Have to use some pliers to get a grip on it. After the old on came off, putting the new one on took a little while. Had to turn it just right to get it to tighten. The reception is not all that great. I lose two channels that used to come in clear. Now I can not hear them at all. I left it on just for the look as I really don't listen to the radio that often anymore. Plus, I can just hook my phone to the Aux port and get the radio that way.

      A little to short

I noticed as so as I turned on the radio I had less signal strength, will most likely try something twice as long. Also the manufacture reuses your factory rubber grommet for the install. Really? Stop being cheap and put a new grommet in the kit my was dry and brittle but I had to reuse it. Quality is good and solid and it looks nice but I recommend going with a longer length.
