Review & Install Video

Hey I’m Justin with, and I’m checking out Raxiom’s chrome and smoked projector headlights, fitting all 94-98 Mustangs. Raxiom is currently the industry leader in producing a wide variety of cool and stylish lighting for your Mustang, all backed by a full 2 year warranty. These lights from Raxiom are definitely for the SN95 owner out there who enjoys more of an aftermarket type of look, these lights have been designed to replace the 2 piece factory lights, using a sleek 1 piece housing available in your choice of either smoked or chrome. Taking a closer look at the smoked option here on our 98 GT, you can see they achieved that aggressive appearance by pairing a black housing with a dark smoked lens. On the other hand the chrome option achieves that bright clean look, by utilizing a chrome housing along with a crystal clear lens. As for that more aftermarket type of look I just mentioned, you can see why: these lights feature a more modern projector style light which besides looking cool, is going to produce a brighter, more focused beam of light. In order to further increase the modern styling, Raxiom has also included some very cool halo accent lighting, which surrounds the projector itself. When the whole package is in action, it definitely gives the front end a very unique look to say the least. These lights do include both 9005 bulbs for your high beams, and H3 bulbs for your low beams, along with the quick splice connectors needed for the install. Speaking of the installation, you will need to wire in the halos and accent lighting to your cars parking lights, either using the supplied quick splice connectors or a soldering iron. Other than that, everything else is completely plug and play, and should only take you about an hour from start to finish. Whether you’re into the bright clean styling of the chrome housing, or the more sinister look of the smoked, one thing is for sure, these lights from Raxiom will alter the look of any SN95 and they can be found right here at

Modern One-piece design. Update the look of your 94-98 Mustang with a set of one-piece projector headlights. These chrome Mustang Halo Projector Headlights have a sleek sexy one piece design that blends nicely into the lines of the SN95 Mustangs.

Superior Lighting. The projector lenses light up the road ahead with a bright focused beam of light that not only looks great, but improves your night visibility. The LED Halo's give an exotic flair to your mustang to set it apart from the rest of the herd.

Full Warranty. Raxiom features an "Industry Leading 2 Year Full Warranty".

DOT Approved. Equipped with 9005 and H3 bulbs for high/low beams this pair of Mustang Headlights are DOT (Department of Transportation) approved for legal street use under compliance # QR1200162.

Application. These Raxiom Chrome LED Halo Projector Headlights are designed to fit the 1994 to 1998 V6, GT, and Cobra model Mustangs.

How does the rubber around the edge of the light hold up ? I've purchased others that last about a year. Thanks

  • Hello! I am not sure what other brand headlights you may have purchased in the past, but one year is far too short. Several of the guys and girls here that have these on their Mustangs have had them for a couple years.

Everything I need in this kit? Does this kit contain everything I need to replace the OEM headlight and parking light assemblies, including the aiming adjusters and any clips? Do I need a special tool to adjust the headlight aim with this kit?

Can you change the color of the halo? Can you change the color of the halo or is that the HID's that you can do that on ?

  • No you cannot. If you try to change the color of your halo, you will void the warranty.

Look Great, but hard to aim

I got these for my daughters 97 GT to replace the yellowing stock lights. These headlight look amazing installed. The wiring was fairly simple to figure out. I am not impressed with the low beams. They seem to point down too much for my taste and make it difficult to see when traveling on a road that isn't well lit. The high beams are great. I can't get these headlight to adjust any further up as they are already touching the fender and cant go any higher. Considering taking them off and going with something else as I don't feel the low beams are safe.

    Look Terrific

I had these installed on my '96 GT. They look great, and add to the overall appearance/function. Installer said they were tedious to install/aim, but when done, wow they look good.

    both good and bad...

Okay, so the lights fit fine but the whole process of installing the lights WITH OUT any direction was a pain! Ive done these style lights before on another car, thinking it would be the same process. It wasnt. Your gunna have to do some readjusting a few times til its right, but the look will be worth it. My frustration level was up there trying to reach in to adjust the lights and tighten them up. It gets even more frustrating when you try and wire up the halo rings and mini bulb. Especially when I had no instructions on hand. And come to find out it is online, but as i was looking through, the wiring gets connected to the mustang plugins with a connector which wasnt even attached or in my box.... I was expecting the lights to come prewired up, like a plug and play. Compared to the last install I did with this style headlight, but someone felt like making it complicated for us. If anything and youre like me, to avoid all that mess. Just tap in them halo rings to work with your fog lamps if you have them. =] I give the visibility 2 stars, just for the fact the driving light bulbs they give you with the lights are horrible. At night you cant see more than 2 ft in front of your hood. I had to use my high beams to see everything! So before you buy, get the replacement h3 bulbs. Overall though a 5 star just for how great these lights look after everythings said and done. Theyll turn some heads.

Purchase of Raxiom Chrome Projector Headlights

Prior to ordering and receiving the Raxiom Chrome Projector Headlights I felt I could download the PDF manual and use any installation instruction that came with the headlights in order to install them properly myself. I uninstalled my old headlights and began to install the new headlights, but found the PDF installation instructions you had posted on your site was for a different manufacturer and the shipment did not have any installation instructions included. I was unable to finish the installation and had to take my Mustang to an auto shop and pay $125.00 to have the installation finished. It was frustrating and a good learning lesson for me. I would call your published number to ask questions before considering purchasing anything from your web site in the future. If you are going to sell items on your website and post installation manuals, please ensure they are for the same item purchased or enclose the proper manual with the shipment.

    Amazing Lights

I got these headlights to replace some other aftermarket headlights and personally thought it was cool the side piece and front piece are now one piece. Installing was a bitch and I am not new to modding, I installed the previous headlights and they were difficult but like I soon found out everything on Mustang is difficult. By the time I finished both headlights it was pretty dark outside so I turned them on and fell madly in love with these, sadly I will be replacing the chrome housing with black housing but same part different finish due to repainting the car and I am sure the third time switching out headlights will still be a pain in the neck.

    Tight fit, crap plastic

Love the look and now I can see at night. For my '98 Cobra I had to Shave away some of the housing on my car for the lights to fit. Not too hard. The attachment fittings are pretty delicate. Don't use too much pressure while installing and adjusting height.

The headlights are nice, but I really think they need to be packed better when shipped! When I got mine there was a piece broke off! Not a big piece but they were still broken! Product was great, But the shipping sucked!!

    crapy plastic

The plastic clips that are sappose to hold the unit in place are crap use a nut on both sides of the frame works ten times better then the plastic crap they expect you to use.

    Amazing headlights

when i first got these headlights they took me a while to find out how to do the wiring but now im a professional at it since i had to do it 2 times cause the first set of lights i got were defective and the low beams were way too low on the ground. so i got new ones from American Muscle and put them on and they are a lot better. the low beams are still not too bright but the high beams are amazing. the lights look amazing on the car though. i get a lot of compliments and i love the halos. i wired them so their always on with whatever light setting i have on. Thanks American Muscle.

Look great but you can't see well!

These are some very great looking lights. They compliment the front end of the Mustang, look like they are OEM or better and as long as it's daylight, all is well. BUT.....the lighting they provide is, at best, poor. Low beam is absolutely useless, appearing as a parking light in brightness and providing little to no visibility. High beams provide better visibility, similar to a low beam with a broader pattern. If you don't have bright fog lights that are switched independently (not relayed off with the low beams) look elsewhere, unless you don't drive at night. If you don't drive at night, are not too frustrated when installing something that should install easy and like a beautiful front appearance- - - -buy these lights!

No clue what people are talking about

I got these and put them in no problem. i had to cut off some plastic parts behind the assembly that was in the way for it to slide all the way back but other then that they installed just fine and aimed/wired them no problem. i consider my self fairly handy and cannot believe that a professional shop would have such trouble with them. A typical person shouldn't have any problems on installation and with the amazing videos/instructions from American muscle it should be a walk in the park like it was for me.

    Halo Installation

Like everyone says on here, pretty hard to install. They look spectacular on my 98. 100% better. But it took me all day to get them on. Be very careful with the stupid plastic clips that come it, they break easily. Defiantly worth the effort, though.
