Description
Lightweight Performance Flywheel. The ACT XACT Prolite Steel Flywheel is engineered to optimize throttle response and acceleration by reducing rotational mass. Designed primarily for race applications, this flywheel offers a significant reduction in inertia, making it highly suited for activities like road and rally racing where quick engine response is critical.
Construction and Appearance. Manufactured from high-strength chromoly steel, the flywheel features a heat-treated forging process for durability and toughness. It includes an induction-hardened ring gear for extended life and is CNC machined and dynamically balanced to ensure smooth operation at high RPMs. The surface finish maintains excellent rigidity and heat tolerance suitable for demanding use.
Installation. Installation is straightforward without the need for modifications such as drilling. It fits as a direct replacement and maintains essential dimensional tolerances for proper clutch function.
Warranty. This flywheel is backed by a 12-month warranty covering defects in material and workmanship.
Application. Specifically designed to fit 97-13 Corvette C5 & C6, Excluding ZR1.
