Description
U-Joint Strap Kit. The Allstar Performance GM U-Joint Strap Kit is designed as a direct replacement for original equipment style u-joint straps used on popular GM pinion yokes. It secures the u-joint caps to the yoke to ensure reliable driveline performance and prevent unwanted movement or vibration. This kit is essential for maintaining the integrity and safety of rear end connections in automotive drivetrains.
Construction and Appearance. The kit includes two durable steel straps sized to fit 1-1/8" diameter caps, finished with a corrosion-resistant coating to withstand wear. The straps feature 1-7/8" center-to-center holes for accurate, consistent mounting. Included are four grade eight bolts, 5/16"-24 thread size and 1-1/2" in length, for secure fastening.
Installation. Installation requires no drilling as the straps are designed to fit existing pinion yoke holes. It is straightforward for those familiar with driveline components. Bolting the straps securely ensures proper clamp-up of the u-joint caps.
Application. This kit fits universal applications with some adaptation potentially necessary. It is suitable for common GM pinion yokes and may require adjustment depending on specific rear end assemblies.
