Description
Performance Carbon Hood. The Anderson Composites Type-GT5 GT500 Style Hood; Double Sided Carbon Fiber is a lightweight, high-performance hood designed to improve heat extraction and add aerodynamic benefits to the vehicle. This product is suitable for automotive enthusiasts looking to enhance both the function and style of their 2015-2017 Mustang GT, EcoBoost, or V6 models.
Construction and Appearance. Constructed using vacuum-infused 3K, 2x2 twill carbon fiber cloth, the hood features a marine grade gel coat with UV inhibitors that protect and maintain a polished, high gloss finish. The large louvered vent improves engine cooling and enhances downforce, while the carbon fiber internal skeleton reduces overall weight without sacrificing strength.
Installation. Installation requires moderate skill with potential minor modifications to mounting tabs and windshield washer nozzle systems. The hood mounts with the original equipment hardware, though these are not included, and professional installation is recommended for best fitment.
Application. Designed specifically to fit 2015-2017 Mustang GT, EcoBoost, and V6 models. This hood does not fit the Mustang GT350 model and may require adjustments for compatibility with OE systems.
