Premium Carbon Fiber Hood. The Anderson Composites Type-OE Hood; Double Sided Carbon Fiber offers a high-performance replacement designed to reduce weight while maintaining strength and style. It serves as an upgrade for enthusiasts looking to enhance their Mustang's performance by shedding unnecessary weight and improving heat extraction. This hood is engineered for 2015-2017 Mustang GT, EcoBoost, and V6 models, delivering both aesthetic appeal and functional benefits.
Construction and Appearance. Crafted using a vacuum infused process with 3K, 2x2 twill carbon fiber cloth, this hood features a consistent weave pattern and an exceptional carbon-to-resin ratio for superior stiffness and strength. It includes a carbon fiber skeleton bonded to the underside for additional weight reduction. Finished with marine-grade gel coat and UV inhibitors, the surface is polished to a high gloss, providing a durable, lustrous finish resistant to environmental damage.
Installation. Installation requires minor adjustments to achieve optimal fitment. The hood mounts with OE hardware (not included); professional installation is recommended, and no drilling is necessary for a proper fit. Use of hood pins is required for safety. Reinstallation of OE gas struts is not recommended due to excess pressure. Heat shield installation is also required.
Application. Designed specifically to fit 2015-2017 Mustang GT, EcoBoost, and V6 models. This hood does not fit the Mustang GT350, and OEM hood-mounted turn signals will not fit this product.
