The Anderson Composites Type-TT Hood; Double Sided Carbon Fiber is designed to replace the stock hood on select Mustangs, providing significant weight reduction for improved vehicle performance. It enhances engine heat extraction while maintaining an aggressive Ford GT style appearance, making it ideal for enthusiasts seeking both functional and aesthetic upgrades.
Construction and Appearance. This hood is crafted using a vacuum infused process with high-quality 3K, 2x2 twill carbon fiber cloth, resulting in exceptional stiffness and strength. It features a marine-grade gel coat with UV inhibitors, polished to a high luster gloss finish that protects the surface and enhances durability. A removable and paintable mesh screen is integrated for heat extraction and style customization.
Installation. Installation requires minor adjustments and possible modifications to mounting tabs for optimal fitment. OE hardware is used for mounting but not included, and the installation does not typically require drilling but should be carefully handled to avoid damage.
Application. This hood fits 2015-2017 Ford Mustang models with GT, EcoBoost, and V6 trims, specifically excluding the Mustang GT350 due to design differences.
