Looks fantastic. Just be sure to follow the instructions, and don't trim away too much of the extra material til you know you're done.

Is there a specific Adhesive I can use to apply my arm rest cover?

LoriD

  • When installing the Arm Rest Cover - Running Pony Logo the best adhesive to use would be a 3M or equivalent general trim adhesive. These come in spray cans to allow easy and even application.

Looks great along with the headrest wrap and floormats

Good quality, but a bit of a hassle to fold the corners underneath. I also purchased the floormats with "gt" and headrest wraps. they all compliment themselves. Only gripe of the armrest is i'm constantly moving my arm off it so i don't make it dirty.

    Really dresses up the interior

I had this professionally installed, and paid more than the padded armrest cost. But didn't want to try putting it on myself. Find yourself a good upholster. It's well worth the money it costs. I like the fact too that with the padding, it's actually more comfortable to rest your arm on. Looks classy too. AM's the best!

The arm rest is a good accent to the mustang.

I like the mustang arm rest. The logo enhances that area inside the car without over doing it in a distasteful way. Without being too much it is noticeable, neat and clean. My wife jumped in the car and noticed the arm rest. She doesn't see things until later. It took her a month to realize I had nee rims on the car. But she saw the armrest and said so you have a horse in the car huh. So if she saw it I know everybody will see it. I got so many compliments on the arm rest. The logo is so nice I don't even put my arm on it. It took me maybe 45 minutes to apply it on the armrest. It is a good DIY project. I would recommend this to all. Great look and great bang for your buck.

    read the instructions!!

Read the instructions. I made the mistake of cutting before I tacked it down. It still looks great but had to really be creative with the positioning.

    Stands out im my interior

The cover took some time and patience, I did cut some length off the material for less bulkyness while stapling the corners. Overall happy with the cover, it looks great in my stang.

    Sweet Look!!!

Totally changes the interior look in a good way! Once installed it looks factory and draws so many compliments from people. Only downside was the installation, it was somewhat time consuming and took a good eye and technique but in the end it turns out GREAT!

    Arm Rest Cover

I have purchased R Pony Arm Rest Cover and glad I did. It really made the black interior sharp. After reading the comments of others, I did not install but had a someone professional that does this type of work do it and they did a great job and I'm so pleased with them and the arm rest cover. Cannot wait til my next purchase from Am. Muscle. Thanks Everyone !

    The "stamp" of approval

I just taken out time to install this to my 07 V6 coupe. It looks great, it adds that "professional" look to your car. I will take a picture soon and add it here. Keep in mind, please do not make the mistake that I just done... I used a staple gun (air pressure) to hold it down. It worked great until I got to the rear end of the armrest... two staples poked right through the piece! If you use a air pressure staple gun, make sure you only use it on the sides. For the front and back, use a hand held staple gun. Also, I tried to add a little cusioning... it was too much. I had bought a 1/8 foam sheet from a place called Michales (craft store, etc). It would have worked, but I guess I really did not know what I was doing. I think if the back end could have been cut and shaped a little bit, it would just worked perfectly. But if you can have another person to work with you, that would have worked better. Or, just pay it to be installed. Other than that, its a great piece to add to your ride. I know 50 bucks for this item is pricy, but in the long run I believe you will be happy with that new look in your car.

    Pony Arm Rest Cover

Awesome, had a local shop add padding and cost was 20 bucks. The arm rest cover looks like it was made by the manufactor company. I would highly recommend the product. Gives the interior a unique look.

    Pony Arm Rest Cover

This addition turned out really nice. The added padding really makes a difference in the comfort department. I had a local shop add the padding and it only cost me 25 bucks for the whole deal.

    LOOK GREAT

I like the looks but the back corners didn\'t turn out too good. I cut them too short and had to use duck tape to hold the edges down. I could have done a better job on the next try but you only get one chance. Take your time cutting the edges and it will turn out perfect.

This is not what i expected

This is not what i expected. A piece of leather that needs to be adhered to the armrest professionally. I thought it was a replacement arm rest. I would not have bought it if i had known.

    Looks great!

I got the arm rest cover for Christmas. I installed it today. Overall, took about an hour from start to finish. It was a bit harder to install than I thought it would be, but for my first time doing something like this, the experience wasn't bad. The cutting and stretching were a bit tedious, but once it was finished and installed...it looks great!

    cover

I have purchased many items from American Muscle, and have loved them all, this though was not worth the money, I would suggest the cloth cover that just slips over. This is hard to get on neatly and a bit bulky looking when on, this would be great if it were a console lid to screw on in place of the original lid.

    ARM REST COVER

THIS IS NOT A SLIPON ARM COVER IT IS JUST A PIECE OF LEATHER THAT NEEDS TO BE INSTALLED BY A PROFESSIONAL UPHOLSTERER. SO PLAN ON SPENDING MORE $$ TO HAVE IT INSTALLED.....
