Description
High-Performance Brake Upgrade. The Baer Pro+ Rear Big Brake Kit with 13-Inch Rotors; Red Calipers is engineered to significantly enhance stopping power and brake control for rear axles. Ideal for performance driving and street use, this system improves braking efficiency and heat dissipation to ensure consistent performance under demanding conditions.
Construction and Appearance. The brake kit features a 6-piston floating caliper CNC machined from US sourced forged or billet aluminum, finished with a durable powder coat. Stainless steel pistons, abutments, and noise suppression clips resist corrosion, while the two-piece vented rotor has a zinc-plated, slotted, and drilled surface with a billet aluminum hat, combining reliability with a refined, performance-oriented aesthetic.
Installation. Installation is straightforward and compatible with OE C-clip rear end setups, utilizing supplied mounting brackets, stainless braided hoses, and hardware for a direct bolt-on fitment. This kit fits most 17-inch or larger wheels without requiring modifications to the parking brake system.
Application. This brake kit fits 1998-2002 Chevrolet Camaro and Pontiac Firebird models equipped with OE C-clip rear ends and 5x4.75 bolt patterns, designed specifically to upgrade rear braking performance while reusing the original equipment parking brake system.
