The Baer Pro+ Rear 4-Lug Big Brake Kit with 13-Inch Rotors; Monster Green Calipers provides a substantial enhancement in stopping power and durability for rear axle brake systems. Designed for automotive enthusiasts focusing on high-performance applications, this kit improves braking consistency and pedal feel under demanding driving conditions.
Construction and Appearance. The calipers are CNC machined from US sourced forged or billet aluminum for strength and lightweight performance and feature a durable powder-coated finish in Monster Green. The rotors are two-piece, featuring slotted, drilled surfaces with zinc plating and billet aluminum hats, enhancing both cooling efficiency and corrosion resistance.
Installation. Installation requires moderate mechanical skills but no drilling is needed since the kit is designed to bolt directly onto the compatible axle setups. A master cylinder upgrade is recommended to ensure optimal hydraulic performance when using this system.
Application. Specifically engineered to fit Ford Mustang models from 1979 through 1992 equipped with the original equipment Ford 8.8-inch C-clip rear end and 4 lug axle configuration. This kit improves rear braking for these exact years and models.
