Worst product I’ve ever gotten from BBK. Trust the reviews every little bump on the road feels like your wheels will fall off..

        BBK Caster / Camber Plates

I was very disappointed in this product. It appeared to be well engineered in the box. Installing it was very challenging. The rubber bands are a joke. There is no way to accurately torque the top strut retaining nut. I am going to invest in metric pass-thru socket set in an attempt to get proper torq on nut. The machined aluminum cover is a nice touch, but I left it off. The plastic plug could not be used (strut stud too tall) and if cover was not centered correctly, a socket could not be used to secure 5th bolt. Cover did not allow enough thread engagement with elastic stop nut.

        Camber

My car rides nice and plates do look great. Unfortunately they are noisy..i live in the city and theres alot of pot holes. Going to try motorsports plates in the future, they have good reviews. The rubber on the actual plates are very thin. Thats what i beleive creates the noise.

        Not worth the price

I thought is you spend the money that you get what you pay for. Not in this case. I got theses installed by a auto shop and they couldn’t get the clunking noise that was happening every time I ran over even the smallest bump. I wall have to pay to have removed from my car and something else installed. I can’t live with that sound every time I hit a bump.

        Do Not Buy These!

You will be disappointed. I bought these several months ago along with Eibach pro sport handling kit. I had them installed a few months ago. My factory strut mounts were making a clunking noise so I thought this would fix it. It doesn't. Cheap thin rubber makes clunking noise no matter how slow I go over bumps. They look great though. I have bought several mods from AM with no problem. This is the first BBK product I have bought. The last BBK product I will buy.

        1 2012 GT - John

Not Good for 2012 GT 5.0

I married these BBK plates with Koni adjustable struts. I paid a certified mechanic for installation and to my displeasure when driving away, there were loud metal-to-metal type knocks coming from the top of the struts when running over bumps. I went back to American Muscle to read reviews which support my claim that the BBK Plates cause knocking in the 2012 GT. I then ordered and installed the Maximum Motorsports Plates and they work wonderfully.

        Clunking on every bump

I purchased and installed these on my lowered 06 GT. With adjustable struts. I had the struts adjusted fully for handling. After a year I loosened them up for ride comfort. Now the struts are loose due the mounting bolts are seated as far down as they can ever be tigtened not allowing the strut to pull up more leaving it loose. The rubber for the mount brackets are garbage or to thin.

        Garbage

Please listen to all the other people that have had clunking issues as they are right! These are another very cheap product of bbk and will make a loud clunking sound every time you hit the smallest bump or crack. The shop said there is too much play where it meets with the struts. This is also very bad handling/performance wise. I'm the same person that had the defective bbk cats with the x pipe. Oh and when the shop called bbk, they just made the same unintelligent and ignorant comment that "their parts never go bad or defective"

        BBK Caster Camber plates

Have a buddy help install these and use a slim wall 21mm for the strut bolt. Once in, alignment was easy to dial in with a wheel square and digital protractor alignment shop didn't have to change a thing.

        Noisy and flimsy

I bought these a while ago (2015) and have had nothing but trouble with them from the start. The construction isn't very solid around the ball bearing and they can separate quite easily (accidentially pushing down on them during installation on the strut was enough) the result is they do have quite a bit of play still which seems to result in metalic knocking sounds every now and then which have been driving me crazy (tightening all bolts again will help for a bit, but even locktite will not last forever) I have just installed another set from Maximum Motorsports and you can feel the difference already when unpacking the units. They are sturdy and quite heavy and leave a lot of clearance for the top strut nut (another nightmare to deal with during installation.... the clearing on the BBKs is so narrow that it's impossible to fit a wrench for leverage and torque it to spec. Another possible source of my knocking nightmares.) All in all for the money i'm not overly impressed by them and while they got my camber back into spec the constant worry about noises in a car isn't worth my sanity.

My suspension is completely stock and I have a camber problem mainly on the drivers side. I`ve gotten many alignments and it still has bad negative camber (about - 2.2 degrees). I want 0 degrees camber so will the BBK Caster Camber Plates fix this? or will I need new strut too?

      • The BBK Caster Camber Plates can be used on on your stock struts and can be used to correct the camber issue you are experiencing. The BBK Caster Camber Plates will not require you to purchase new OEM or aftermarket struts.

I purchased and installed these 1.5 years ago. Now the struts are loose and can not be tightened down to the mount anymore. Do you have a suggestion for this.? The struts rattle at the top now. The mounts should not have gone bad in that short of a period.

      • Hello! I am sorry to hear that you are having this issue, please give us a call or an email at your earliest convenience so we can try to get this resolved for you as soon as possible! http://www.americanmuscle.com/contact.html

Will these replace your factory upper strut mounts? Or do they require the factory upper strut mounts? I ask, because the right strut mount fell apart, and needs to be replaced. And was wondering if these camber plates can solve my issue.

      • Yes, the BBK Caster Camber Plates (05-14 All) will be replacing your upper strut mounts.

I have recently purchased a set of eibach sportline lowering springs. Would these go well with my lowering springs ??

Will these work with after market strut tower braces? I currently have a SR strut tower brace. Will my brace work with these plates or will I need a different brace?

      • Yes you can use strut tower braces. Per BBK, they will work with a strut tower brace, but you just won't be able to use the decorative top cover plate. Hope this helps!
