Review & Installation Video

Review & Install Video

Hey everyone I’m Justin with AmericanMuscle.com. Take a look at a few different pieces that will give your S197 a retro look with a modern twist, thanks to these black trim bezels for your brake and quarter marker lights. The trim pieces including the third brake light trim, the tail light trim, and the quarter marker light trim, go around each light giving it a more pronounced and dramatic look, and adding a subtle touch of customization which can always be appreciated. Each piece installs easily in a matter of minutes using the supplied 3M tape located on the back of each trim ring. Now it’s a great idea whenever you use this 3M tape, to clean and prep the area first using the supplied alcohol wipes. Once everything is cleaned and prepped simply remove the tape backing on each piece, and install carefully. Now you can purchase these pieces individually if you like, however you’ll definitely make more of a dramatic styling impact like we’ve done on our 2006 GT, if you combine all these options together. So if you’re looking to give your ride a little bit more character that is reminiscent of the classic Mustangs, but with modern day style, then you’ll definitely want to check out these black trim rings for your 05-09 Mustang.

Retro Styling. Black Mustang Taillight Trim Rings really complete the retro styling of the new 2005-2009 Mustang. These SpeedForm Trim Rings really wake up the rear of your pony and add a cool classic look to the S197 Mustangs.

Fit and Finish. The SpeedForm Taillight Trim Rings fit like an OEM part and are made from a durable black urethane material for great looks and long life.

Designed for Easy Installation. The SpeedForm Black Tailight Trim Rings already have heavy-duty 3M bonding tape applied to the back of each Ring so all you have to is just clean the surface, peel off the protective backing, and stick them to your taillights, its that easy. Go from stock to show stopping in just under 10 minutes.

Easy trim

This trim piece took only a few minutes to install. Just to easy! It appears to me that this piece completes the look which the factory shorted on.

Looks great! But it is plastic.... not quite worth $50...

They went on easy and looked great... at first! Had them about 4 months, and now they don't look so great. It should be in the description that they are made of thin white plastic that is painted black. Any scratches or dings (even just the trunk closing, and I don't really slam it) show up as white cuts into the plastic. So now I'm considering buying another pair, but really don't think it's worth the price... Maybe I'll grab some touch up paint. Just something to consider!

    Ties it all together

I was skeptical about this trim at first, but after looking at the user pics, I went for it! I had the SHR honeycomb panel already and this trim in black really made the tail lights look great. When combined with the sequential kit, the rear end looks good!!

    Tight Product

Good fit and really enhances the tail lights . Real sticky tape . You only get one chance even if you barely touch it , its going to stick .

    Taillight trim

I bought these in black and put them on my 08 black mustang. Gives a really nice finished look to the taillights. Easy and quick to install and gives you that nice accent for your lights.

    Nice clean look

These bezels look great, its a simple part to set your tail lights off from the rest of the herd. personally i think mine look great with the honeycomb trim, secquential tail lights and the decklid panel ties it all together. really dresses it up without being too over the top. i have had this part on my mustang now for almost 2 years and i have had no problems with scratches, paint peeling, fading, or failing adhesive however i do keep my pony garaged. i little pricey for plastic however it is high quality. if youre looking for a little something extra and simple to dress up that back end (and give those chevy owners something pretty to look at!) then go with this, you wont be dissapointed. i recommend this product.

Perfect compliment for the SHR Honeycomb Rear Deck Panel. Finishes off the retro Mach 1 look.

Looks great. Fits great. Glues great. A little high for a frame but worth the price in style.

    Tail trim

It looks nice and fits well but is not really noticable. There are far better ways to spend $50 at American Muscle.

Looks good for 3 years then paint flakes off

I got the black ones. They looked great and fit well for a few years but then the paint just cracked and flaked off. Now I want to take em off but the tape is pretty stuck. Looks like complete junk now.

Looks good the first few years.

These were perfect and initially gave a great look. Problem is that they will not last if your car is maintained out doors. The finish starts to circum to the elements, the durable black urethane material thats designed to last a lifetime becomes brittle and then has to be replaced. They would be better if they were metal and not plastic. If your car is an outdoor car (mine is under a car cover 80% of the time) these will not last but a few years.

These trims pieces are made with UV resistant plastic as well as painted with a UV resistant paint. These should not have faded or become brittle. We'll happily ship you out a replacement if you'd like! Just give us a call and we can get you all set up!

    Not Really Worth the Price

Installation was a snap. Fit could be a little better as the trunk lid bumps the top inner corner. Looked great at first. Not sure if these were made with the "garaged car" in mind or if the quality is simply lacking...but it was only a few months before they started to chip. I don't go through car washes, I don't use any harsh cleaners on my car, hand washed only by ME, and yet the paint has chipped everywhere on both trim pieces. They really need to be taken off and completely repainted, just not sure how well the thin plastic will hold up when being peeled off the light.. if you don't have a garage to keep your car in, might not want to get these as they don't seem to hold up well when out in the weather.

    taillight trim

Adds a nice subtle touch without much cost. Easy install. Too bad the finish is gloss because it would have matched the honeycomb panel better on my car.

    Black tail light trim

Looks good, fine details is whats its all about. Just think the price is a tad high considering the material used. Overall, it helps alot with the rear-end "looks" department.

    expensive plastic

Put these on last night and asked myself why I paid 50 bucks for two little pieces of plastic... It looks kinda pretty but basically the S**t is very expensive for the amount of material you get.

Pretty simple, just peel and stick. Came without instructions, but were oversized, so had to be trimmed with razor. Messed up on front ones and had to scrap them, but back came out ok.
