Minimize Wheel Hop. Are you experiencing an overwhelming amount of wheel hop under rapid acceleration? Well, you're not alone, almost all S550 drivers do. This is because the rear lower control arms of the 2015-2020 Mustangs come from the factory equipped with soft, pliable rubber bushings that allow for excessive deflection. The stock rubber bushings perform well at absorbing NVH (Noise, Vibration and Harshness) of a daily driven commuter car, but leave something to be desired for the hard driving performance enthusiast. A BMR Suspension Rear Lower Control Arm Bearing Kit replaces the stock rubber bushings with 1" spherical bearings, eliminating bushing deflection to minimize wheel hop. A BMR IRS Rear Lower Control Arm Bearing Kit is the perfect solution for street, performance and race drivers looking to reduce unnecessary wheel hop and lower control arm deflection.

Superior Construction. BMR proudly designs and manufactures their IRS Rear Lower Control Arm Bearing Kits right here in the USA. BMR's heavy-duty, chromoly, Teflon lined, 1" spherical bearings are designed to stand up to high loads while offering bind-free suspension articulation. A set of heavy-duty snap rings are included to keep the bearings securely locked in place. The included spacers are CNC-machined from 6061 aircraft grade billet aluminum for a strength and a precise fit.

Application. This BMR Suspension IRS Rear Lower Control Arm Bearing Kit is designed for use on all 2015 to 2020 S550 Mustangs that are equipped with the factory Independent Rear Suspension (IRS), including the V6, EcoBoost, GT and Shelby models. Sold as a set of two.

5 2017 GT - AkelI Installation Time: Afternoon

        Huge difference!

This part is very stout compared to the factory rubber bushing. Once installed you can immediately feel the difference. There rear feels a lot stiffer and more planted coming out of corners. No added NVH but you do get to feel the road more, which is something i like.

        Reduces deflection

Nice install. Helped reduce deflection and I think it is doing a great job at the track

5 2016 GT - JeffreyO Installation Time: Afternoon

        Money well spent!!!

These made such a difference the car feels more connected to the road. Install was a bit of a pain as the BMR was not strong enough to push out the stock bushings. I used a muddied press to do it then it was a breeze.

        5 2016 GT - Overkill

High Quality, perfect fit, but not for a beginner

I've built and raced an off-road Mustang for many years and until I purchased these parts, I have not experienced a True "bolt on". Everything requires a little filing, fitting or modification in my past experience. But that is not true with these BMR parts. They installed just as the instructions detailed and fit perfectly. These bushings are a non-trival installation. I have a 12 ton press and had to loaner tool various ball joint pressing tools to press the old ones out and new ones in. Even the snap rings are tough if you don't have the right snap ring pliers. I installed these at the same time as the differential and cradle lock out kits, toe links, toe link arms and Ford bushing upgrade. Tip: Pull off the brakes, half shafts and coil springs to make the install go easier. And most importantly, the combination of BMR suspension parts suggested by American Muscle have stopped my rear wheel hop which was becoming a problem since I have a Whipple stage 2 Kit also installed.
