    Review & Install Video

Hey I’m Justin with AmericanMuscle.com, and I’m checking out MGP’s front and rear caliper covers, fitting all 2005 and newer Mustangs. So here’s the deal, an aftermarket big brake kit is not exactly cheap, and painting your factory calipers can sometimes not give you the results you’re looking for. These covers from MGP are a great way to cover up those ugly factory calipers, while adding a little customization and helping to reduce the brake dust on your wheels. The covers are offered in a red or a black powder coat and with a number of different logo options. We have a couple here on the table including the red GT logo, the complete black Cobra setup, the red running Pony logo, and the black 5.0 logo, just to name a few. Taking a closer look at the calipers you’ll first notice a very durable T6 aluminum construction, along with that powder coated red or black finish. In addition we have the officially licensed logo right in the center, along with some simulated hardware for a more realistic look. The installation really isn’t all that bad and should take you about an hour from start to finish. Of course you will need to remove your wheels just to gain access to the calipers so make sure you have your jack handy. In addition you’re going to want to make sure 3/8” wrench just to tighten up the hardware on the covers themselves, but other than that everything is completely straightforward. So if you’re tired of looking at those rusty factory calipers and you don’t feel like forking out big dough for an aftermarket big brake kit, you’ll want to look into MGP’s caliper covers available right here at AmericanMuscle.com

Custom Styling. A set of Black Mustang Caliper Covers are a great way to set off your new rims. These Mustang Caliper Covers from MGP have a big brake race ready look that will turn heads.

Reduces Brake Dust. These Caliper Covers not only look fantastic, but they act as a dust shield to keep your rims looking cleaner longer.

Quality Construction. MGP makes their Caliper covers from light weight 6061-T6 Aerospace Aluminum that is formed to the caliper for a perfect fit. The covers are then powder coated for a long lasting high gloss shine. The installation brackets are TIG welded in place for extra security.

Easy No Mess Install. Painting your calipers can be messy and time consuming, but the MGP Caliper Covers simply install over your stock calipers and are held in place with the supplied clip and bolt. For a no muss, no fuss install.

Application. Designed to fit over factory brakes, this set of four MGP caliper covers include all the required hardware needed for installation on a 2005 to 2009 V6 or GT Mustang.

    Will it fit my Mustang?
    • Bullitt - 08, 09
    • GT - 05, 06, 07, 08, 09
    • V6 - 05, 06, 07, 08, 09

Fits V6 and GT's with factory brake calipers only, does not fit Shelby GT500.

Technical Note. A minimum of 1/8 of an inch clearance between the wheel and the brake caliper is required for proper fitment. We have found that the MGP caliper covers will require the use of a small 1/4" spacer to provide proper clearance with our aftermarket Bullitt wheels, see drop down option above

Where can I order extra clips for these covers if the stud on the clips break?

        • Hello! Unfortunately we don't sell the clips individually. We recommend contacting MGP directly if you need replacements.

Are the MGP letters engraved into the covers? Can I paint over the letters to make the covers solid black? I have some Saleen labels I want to put over the MGP letters on the covers. Thanks!

        • The MGP letters are engraved into the Caliper Covers. You can paint over them, but there will still be an indent of the lettering.

Will these fit with aftermarket wheels? I just purchased the Staggered Matte Black 2010 Style GT500 wheels (9/10 front/rear). I have not received them yet, but wondering if these caliper covers will fit beneath them? Any insight?

        • These require 17" wheels or larger for proper clearance. You ordered the 18" staggered wheels so you should not have any problems installing these caliper covers with your new wheels!

            A must have upgrade

These will upgrade the look so much. I'm not sure about leaving them black but I painted mine blue to match my stripes and they look killer! Be where that if your actual calipers are any color but black, it'll show bad on the sides so I would ew comment putting some black paint on those prior to install

Look great had trouble with the fronts

I had a little trouble with the front covers running my wheels. Easy fix though all I had to do was put a washer between each of my logs to act as a tiny spacer and they now fit perfect. Other than that they look good and have no trouble with them.

Calipers are nice to look at

These calipers are nice to look at but the brackets they come with do not fully tuck under the stock caliper so they rub on the rotor and make a awful squeeling noise when driving and on the front ones the rub on my wheel and took off all the paint on them and scratched my wheels up as well. other then that i install them for car shows only and they look great but i cannot drive with them way to much parts rubbing.

            amazing

Great looking covers.... I am having some trouble with one bracket scrapping against the rotor but I believe the caliper on that side was replaced as I had an accident in the car 3 of the 4 work great but the one with slightly different caliper I cut the bracket already but needs more cut off I believe but better not enough than too much then you have to make new bracket. However if your car has never had calipers replaced they will go on like nothing. You may have to turn brackets around from way shows on picture. I think we did with 2 just so would fit better. Hope this helps anyone in same situation but again I feel like most people will have no problems

            satisfied

The caliper covers only needed clips trimmed back for the noise they make hitting the slotted rotors, stock rotors may not need it, anyway, I'm satisfied

            Nice Addition

If you're looking for a somewhat cheap way to dress up your brakes then these will do. They look good behind the rims and almost give the illusion that they're real. Overall this is a good product.

            Good looks, but sound terrible.

I got these to cover the stock calipers when I bought all new rotors and pads. Baer decelarators and hawk pads. They looked great after install but have made so much noise I had to remove the rear covers. I called MGP and American muscle to get help. Both said to try bending the clips. After 3 times the noise from the rear wheels got worse. Now I have a set in the front I have no problems with and my rear calipers are naked. Don't waste your money like I did. Not worth 200. I'd say 50 dollars would be more appropriate and they would still have to fix the fitment issues on their rear covers.

            Really look good

After I got the wheels removed,it took less that 30 minutes to install these caliper covers and for the money they are a super addition to the overall appearance of my Mustang.

            Look Great!

Really dresses up your wheels without the big expense of new calipers! Recommend painting the calipers same color as covers for full coverage before installing covers and painting the install clips after installing too.

            FYI

Hey, just to let you guys know, these covers will not fit your calipers if you have 8x9 or 8x10 bullit-style wheels. They look great! It\'s too bad they wont fit on my calipers :^(

            Great Product!

These guys came to a San Diego Mustang Club meeting and this is great product. I know for a fact they spent a lot of time and $$ on R&D. If they made these for 1999-2004 I would definitely buy them. Trust me these things are great!!!
