    Review & Installation Video

Hey I’m Justin with AmericanMuscle.com, and I’m taking a closer look at these front and rear caliper covers from MGP fitting all 99-04 V6 and GT Mustangs. Here’s the deal, aftermarket big brake kits are not cheap and fitting your factory calipers can sometimes turn into a disaster if done incorrectly. These covers from MGP are a great way to cover up those factory calipers, while adding a little bit of customization and keeping brake dust off your wheels. The caliper covers are available in your choice of either black or red, and with a number of different logo options. For instance I have here the black GT, the classic running Pony logo in red, the complete Cobra setup in black, and I also have with me the red GT and many more. Taking a closer look at the calipers themselves you’ll notice a high quality T6 aluminum construction, along with that black or red powder coated finish. Finally, the officially licensed logo is engraved right in the center along with some simulated hardware, just for a more realistic look. The install really isn’t all that bad and should take you about an hour from start to finish. You will need to remove your wheels so make sure you have your jack, and you’ll also want to make sure you have a 3/8” wrench handy, just to tighten up the hardware on the covers themselves. Other than that, everything is very straightforward. So if you’re tired of looking at those rusty factory calipers on your ride, and you don’t feel like forking out money for an aftermarket big brake kit, then be sure to check out one of these officially licensed caliper covers from MGP right here at AmericanMuscle.com

Mustang Styling. This set of four Black MGP Caliper Covers are a great way to set off your new rims and they feature modern "Mustang" lettering on the front two covers and the iconic running Pony logo on the rear two. These Officially Licensed MGP Caliper Covers will give any New Edge Mustang a big brake race ready look that will turn heads.

Reduces Brake Dust. These Caliper Covers not only look fantastic, but they also act as a protective dust shield to help keep your rims looking cleaner longer.

Quality Construction. MGP makes their Caliper covers from light weight 6061-T6 Aerospace Aluminum that is formed to the caliper for a perfect fit. The covers are then powder coated for a long lasting high gloss look. The installation brackets are TIG welded in place for extra security.

Easy No Mess Install. Painting your calipers can be messy and time consuming, but the MGP Caliper Covers simply install over your stock calipers and are held in place with the supplied clip and bolt. For a no muss, no fuss install. Sold as a set of four covers.

Application. Designed to fit over stock brakes, this set of four MGP caliper covers include all the required hardware needed for installation on 1999 to 2004 Mustangs, including the V6 and GT models with 16" or larger wheels. Does not fit Bullitt, Mach 1, or SVT Cobra models.

            Good look for calipers.

These made a big difference in the way the wheels look. They were pretty easy to install also. Highly recommend for a good look for low cost compared to buying actual calipers.

Looks good but can be a pain to get on

They are a bit of a pain to get on but when they’re on they are solid. Only negative is the calipers I originally put them on they just fit on there with some elbow grease but the new set I have they won’t fit at all.

            Overpriced for what they are

Overpriced for what they are. They’re nice but I was thinking some bigger heavier thicker metal or aluminum I should say and these things are paper thin they probably got five bucks in them. Seems like a fair price for select product like this should be $85 it’s hilarious I paid 200 for these and I just bought total slotted drilled rotors and ceramic brake pads for 150 the hallway around my car I would have to say they’re extremely overpriced there OK but not what I was planning on Seem extremely overpriced hope somebody is making some big money

            Poor fit

The covers look nice and would be great if they were to fit properly. The front covers take a bit of massaging to get them installed but due to the tab location on the cover they do not completely cover the caliper components. Prortions of the caliper assembly need to be painted if you want it to look good. The rear covers are twice as bad. Where the tabs are welded doesn't allow them to fit the clips without trying spread them apart and deform them. I finally got frustrated with the rear and gave up! I can paint the calipers much faster than trying to get the covers to fit! In the end the price is way too much for only getting the front covers to work. Very disappointed with this purchase.

            MGP Black Caliper Covers

Took a bit of tweaking to get them to fit properly but overall fit well. Seems a little pricey for what they actually are but definatley look better than trying to paint the stock calipers.

            4 2004 V6 - REDPONY

            Caliper Covers - 2004 Mustang

As usual, AM had just what we needed for our 2004 Mustang. The product looks great and worth the money to keep our new rims clean. The front covers could have fit better though. There is not much room and the cover needed tweaking in order not to scrub the brake. It took over an hour to install since we had to adjust them. Overall I'd still recommend this product. The ones I ordered for my 2016 Mustang fit perfect.

            A Solid Aesthetic

Yea these are a cool product that really steps the look up of your mustang for a good price before you really get into some upgraded rotors and calipers and what not. I bought new rims so the stock calipers just looked weird and these solved that problem along with giving my new rims some protection from gathering rust and stuff from the brakes.

            Didn't even put them on

Once I received the brake calipers I was very happy. I really liked the color and I was eager to put them on. I tried putting them on at first and they wouldn't fit. I read the instructions and it said that you had to cut part of it. I cut a part of it off so it would stop rubbing but it didn't. I cut of more of it and it still rubbed. I do not recommend these for your GT mustang.

            great look

Was looking for a better way to cover my old looking calipers instead of painting them, great look, had a problem with one of them sqeeking cause it would not get tight enough and then the rivets they use broke, they could be made it better had to replace the rivets with screws and lock washer to get it tight to the caliper, only one gave me a problem, not happy with the way there made could be better for the price that i paid for them but it does look good,at the time if i new one was going to be a problem i would have not bought them, spent more time putting them on then anything, great look ,but could be made better oh and if you have to use your spare it might rub on the new cover you put on just be aware of that if you get a flat
