Description
High-Performance Twin Disc. The Centerforce DYAD DS Organic/Carbon Twin Disc Clutch Kit with Flywheel; 26-Spline is engineered for vehicles requiring substantial torque holding capacity from 500 to 1300 ft/lbs. This kit improves drivability by offering smooth clutch engagement, a light pedal effort, and superior clamp load capabilities, making it ideal for high-performance and upgraded engines.
Construction and Appearance. The clutch features a billet steel flywheel paired with nodular iron pressure plates and segmented organic/carbon composite friction discs. The components are precision machined and assembled in the USA, utilizing a patented centrifugal weight system and ball bearing actuated pressure plate for enhanced clamp load and pedal feel. Its flywheel is lightened for low inertia, contributing to quicker engine response.
Installation. Installation requires moderate mechanical skill and does not involve drilling or modification to the vehicle’s transmission or crankshaft. The kit comes complete with all necessary hardware, alignment tool, and pilot bushing, facilitating a straightforward replacement process.
Application. This kit is designed specifically to fit 1964-1973 V8 Mustang models, providing an ideal upgrade or replacement for these classic vehicles.
