Heat Extraction. Keep your engine cool and look cool doing it with a Cervini Heat Extractor Hood. Impressive GT500 Styling. This Heat Extractor Hood was designed to not only keep under hood temperatures down, but to look great doing it. Mimicking the look of the Shelby GT500, Cervini includes two billet aluminum heat extractor vents and relocates the windshield washer squirters under the hood for impressive clean styling.

I want to do 'retro touches' to my 2009 Bullitt, that are inspired by the original 1968 Bullitt. This hood looks very similar to the hood used on the 1968 Mustang, but they also had integrated hood turn signal indicators. Any idea or possibility that they could be installed in these grill inserts?

  • The Cervini's Heat Extractor Hood - Unpainted (05-09 GT, V6) does not come with the turn signal indicators however it may work with some custom modification.

Will the MMD Hood Strut Kit still work with this? My stock hood right now uses the hood strut kit, would it work with this hood?

  • The MMD hood strut kit can be installed on factory hoods as well as aftermarket hoods that use the factory bolt location but there is a possibility that the struts may not work on the Cervini's Heat Extractor Hood. To get some more detail about fitment please call or send us a email we can better assist you.

Does anyone know if there is enough clearance for a whipple or KB top mount supercharger with this hood??

  • This hood will have the clearance to install a top mount supercharger!

I'm interested in the hood but have future plans to install a Vortech or Paxton centrifugal supercharger on my 2006 GT. Any fitment issues? Also, completely different question, as the two are not compatible, but are the heat extractors positioned where they could be boxed into the radiator?

  • The Cervini's Heat Extractor Hood would have enough clearance for a Paxton or Vortech supercharger. As for the heat extractors, they are not designed for this but with some custom fabrication, it could work.

Is the under hood clearance reduced with this hood compared to a stock one? The car I want to install this on has a procharger and I'm concerned about interference.

  • The clearance of the Cervini's Heat Extractor Hood - Unpainted (05-09 GT, V6) will be able to fit a procharger system underneath without any interference.

Has passed the test of time

I had this hood installed about three years ago. I have put this hood through the worst imaginable between trowing rocks at it, constant pot holes and Just using it on my daily commuter on daily New Jersey traffic. in this time i have only had on small chip. I have had no major problems the only thing i recommend is installing a set of hood pins just for a piece of mind it is a fiberglass hood and it does vibrate a lot while driving at high speeds. the hoods a head turner you will love it.

    For RoushCharger Guys.

This hood came to me in two days, but that is usual for American Muscle. Everything went together relatively well, but I could not get the stock hood bolts to go into the hood so I used the bolts that came in the hood when I received it. The lowering brackets for the stock coolant overflow went in quickly, but then I had another problem. For anyone with a Roushcharger, the overflow tank that came with the blower is mounted directly next to the stock, which causes a small fitment issue. The neck JUST touches the one corner of the hole cut out for the heat extractor, but the hood will still close. So you may have to sand down the cap a hair. Other then that, I can't wait to see it painted.

    05 Convertible Hood Install

I like this hood. It looks great and the quality is quite nice. even the professionals at the shop where I had it installed liked it and they have a reputation for not liking after-market product. The biggest problem was the unforeseen requirement to re-position the coolant overflow tank. The hood comes with instructions and a bracket to do this but I was not aware of this in advance and the instructions are not great. While the install is not overly complex, it is still not simple. The shop crew actually damaged the fan screen on the first try. It is not an option to leave the tank where it is. The filler neck of the tank will hit the hood if it is not moved. Photo attached. Nevertheless, even with advance warning on the tank issue, I would still have purchased this hood. Other than the tank, installation is easy. Almost all of the cost I have documented here was to paint the hood.

This hood screams "look at me!"

This hood not only comes with all the required materials so you can make it a DIY job, but it has the fit of the original and the taste of a cobra. After I got this product painted it took me about 45 minutes to an hour 10 minutes to install. It fits perfectly in place as it should and looks phenomenal. The only thing I would suggest is having the heat vent holes for the vents pre drilled for customers fast, easy, and hassle/damage free installation. Other than that this product is top notch in my opinion. Step back and "wow." -Brandon Campitella

    Stand out from the herd!

This hood has a perfect fit and and a nearly flawless finish! It removes the OEM windshield wiper sprayers leaving your hood with more smooth surface area that gives your Mustang a truly unique look. The vents are fully functional and the rain channel that's included keeps water away from critical engine components. The construction of it is very solid and sturdy but the downside to that it weighs a bit more than the OEM hood. Overall I I love this hood and it looks amazing, when its waxed and polished up and really sets your Mustang apart from the crowd.

    The mean muscle look!

I wanted something different than the other hoods everyone else gets. The hood has more distinctive curves in it from factory and the vents really set it apart! My mustang is all black and this hood really made the whole car it looks so mean now.I've got alot of complements from people who say they dont like mustangs but they love what iv e done to mine and I'm only 18.the fit was perfect and the hood came in great condition I'm glad I bought this hood this should be an option if ur looking at it!

    Cervini heat extractor hood

Look is great. Fit is great. Installation was normal. Finish on the hood did require block sanding twice by the body shop to fill in dips by the hood mounts and smooth out minor imperfections in the hood, which is not unexpected with a fiberglass hood.

    The Best

The fit and finish is perfect, simply the best aftermarket hod available. I've used and have seen several cervini's hoods and was very impressed with them all. Installation was as simple as the factory hood and the vents are right where my WMS intake sits. Couldnt be happier with this hood.
