rain? I have a cold air intake so it is exposed what happens in the rain will it hurt the engine or anything like that by getting wet?

        • No, rain should not affect the engine or intake. I would suggest installing a wire mesh across the vents, however, to prevent larger particles (leaves, insects, etc.) from being sucked into the engine bay.

            Incredible

I am 100 satisfied with this hood. It looks absolutely amazing on my pony. It has totally transformed my car in a majorly positive way. Everywhere I go people are just looking and I have received nothing but great comments from friends and strangers alike. The shop that painted and installed it for me told me it was by far the best fitting fiberglass hood he's ever worked with. Highly recommend this hood even if you don't go with the ram air intake. Just absolutely awesome!!

            Awesome looking hood!

Looks great on the car (or will, saw laying on the car for fitting, still having car rebuilt after a collision). Bought the ram air option as well. Will be still able to use the hood pins, which is good! The cost is crazy, but the looks can't be beat.

            Looks amazing!

Awesome hood. My friend who’s been doing body and paint work for 20 years said this is the best hood he’s ever seen online. Hardly any prep work at all. The only reson I didn’t give it 5 stars is becouse when I received the hood a corner of it was damaged but it only cost me another 50bucks to fix so no big deal. It looks so good now I’m mad at myself for not buying it years ago!

            My Cervini's review

It was much heavier than the stock hood I had. That was a bummer. The fit was so so. They had the wrong size holes so the bolts didn't fit and the way the hood fit wasn't the greatest. They had the wrong hood inserts and called on it. Waited for days and they sent the wrong ones again. Finally they got it right the 3rd time. I am happy with the way it looks after we it was painted and the adjustments to make it fit were accomplished.

            Missing hood!

I ordered this hood it came damaged. I sent it back and they sent a new one. That one got lost then they found it and delivered it. This one was really damaged. Called for a 3 hood and now they are on back order. Be warned of there delivery. Small parts are great from them but do not order big items. I don't know if it fits still waiting. I don't know how it will look still waiting. A month and 2 hoods later not a bang for my buck.

            Functional cooling with aggressive styling.

This hood is heavy, but very durable and functional. The open front "snout" and rear heat extractors make the blower and top half of the engine noticeably cooler (by touch, havent checked with temp probes, but I believe that isn't necessary with the reduced amount of heat coming off the engine.) Agressive design which is definitely a head turner. Kind of makes my shelby resemble a super snake. Very happy overall.

            Looks great

Bought this hood as to make the overall look of the car better, and it delivered. It looks great and only took about 30 min to install. Cost me $600 for paint but nonfactory orange aint cheap. It is a bit expensive but such is the nature of the beast. It is a close fit on the headlight area. On one side its got about 1/8in gap and the other about 5/8in. Not a huge deal but an annoyance if you are a perfectionist.

            Cool Hood

The hood looks great, plenty of looks (my wife and I get a kick out of that). It fits perfect and it is actually heavier than the original. One misleading part of the hood description is the fact that the rear vents are actually "NOT" open. There are no openings at the front of the collectors under the grilles, only at the rear. When it rains or you wash the car the hood needs to be raised to drip the water out. The shop had to find different smaller size bolts to fit the OEM hinges. The squirters are too short to be effective and would only cover the bottom half of the window. The body shop tech had to retrofit.

Quality hood for a reasonable price. In the right hands this hood is a show quality piece with some prep work.

            Head turner hood

The cervini hood was a great choice especially for cause i had custom knight rider lights installed in the ram air inlets , easy install i had a shop paint it cost about 500 bucks to paint and install the hood , the hood is roughly 30 lbs heavier then stock hood , but its very well built and durable , the body shop said cervini is the best at making hoods and its his favorite to paint ..

            Love this hood

This hood is awesome. High quality and it looks great on my car. It was painted and installed by a local bodyshop. The painter actually commented on what great quality this hood was and the body shop manager was sure to let me know that Cervini hoods always fit properly without any issues. *Note: Most aftermarket Hood strut kits will not work with this hood due to the hood being heavier than a stock Mustang hood. Cervini sells a kit for about $150.

Cervini's Ram Air Type IV Hood

For people that live in hot climates this is the hood for you. This glass is thicker and stronger, so no more heat warping. Keep in mind that his hood is thicker and stronger than the truefiber hoods so it will be heavier. For me the extra weight didn't bother me but the heat warping on my old truefiber hood did. I hope this review helps.

            Aggressive look

Cervini products were well known for their quality by the body shop. The hood fit perfect and is well made. Have gotten a lot of compliments and even a thumbs up from a police officer at a stop light. I do recommend this hood.

            An aggressive look.

I purchased the Cervini Ram Air Type IV hood to replace the OEM hood on my '07 GT/CS. I've always liked the look of the SuperSnake hood and this looks a lot like it. It's also functional in that it takes in cool air and expels hot air. I chose to have it painted and installed at my favorite collision shop. All the Techs raved about the quality of this hood as contrasted with other fiberglass hoods they have installed. Considering that a new OEM hood costs in the area of $1400-$1500, this hood delivers great bang for the buck. If you want to add some serious good looks to your 'Stang, consider this hood.

            Transformation of appearance

I recently picked up the Cervini type IV hood from American Muscle together with the Roush Front fascia kit. The finished product was absolutely amazing. This hood transformed the appearance of my Mustang and made it look like a super-car. The ram-air and functional heat extracting qualities are also a definitive plus. Couldn't be happier with my purchase. I've noticed a lot of folks stopping in parking lots to stare at the car. Pretty neat!
