    Review & Install Video

Hey, guys, Stephanie with americanmuscle.com here with the Cervini's C-Series Pedestal Wing with Fastback 2015 and newer Mustang. In this video, we're gonna be taking a closer look at this wing. So we'll talk about the materials and construction of the wing as well as what it's gonna take to get this installed. I'll get more into this later. But the install is easy if you've already got a wing on your car. But if you don't, you will have to do some drilling. Either way, I'm gonna call this a one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter. The Cervini's C-Series wing offers a much different look than any of the other options that are currently out there right now. So if you're looking for a statement piece or something different than the typical spoiler, then this could be a good option for you. Most aftermarket options are spoilers, not wings. So this being a wing is already gonna separate it from the other options. If we start by looking at the construction of this wing, you're looking at a hand-laid fiberglass. Fiberglass is very lightweight and strong. So these are good qualities to have in a rear-wing as well. The wing is made to be functional, so it's gonna increase downforce when you're at higher speeds, which is never a bad thing. Now, I didn't necessarily get to test the effectiveness of this wing for myself, so I'll just leave it at that. Also, keep in mind that you should test-fit any exterior parts prior to any paint work too. As far as looks go, you can see that this has a bit of a dish look to it. And it's gonna extend the line of the deck lid upwards and out more. The look from the back will be different. Not sure if you guys can see it well from this angle, so I wanted to make sure that I showed you this. The view from the rear looks like this. You can see that you have four contact points along the trunk lid, and then the sides of the wing fold down over the wider rear fenders. So like I said, this is gonna give a much different look than that of a spoiler. So if you aren't into this, there are a handful of other options that you can check out. When it comes to fitment, this is gonna fit all 2015 and newer Fastback Mustangs, so the V6, the EcoBoost, and the GT or even the GT350 if you wanted it to. You're gonna get everything you need for the install, including some bolts, washers, and gaskets, and some double-sided tape. If you already have the small spoiler on your Fastback, you won't have to do any drilling. You'll have a full bolt-on install that can't get much easier. If you have the spoiler delete, on the other hand, you are looking at some drilling. Price, you can expect to pay just over $400 for this wing. But like I said, you have to keep in mind that this is unpainted, so you need to get a quote for paint work from your local body shop in order to put a full price tag on this. Spoilers do tend to cost a little bit less than wings do. So if this is out of your price range, you can always check out one of the spoilers instead. When it comes to the install, like I mentioned earlier, this isn't necessarily a hard one. But if you're looking at having to drill, it is gonna be a little bit tougher. You're still looking at a one out of three wrenches, especially if you don't have to drill holes, and an hour or two, tops, to get this fully installed. You can always have the body shop install this for you. But if you're looking at doing this yourself, an extra set of hands is a good idea if you have to do the drilling. If you have to drill just use the template and take your time. The wing does install with both hardware and 3M tape. So you're gonna want the paint as clean as possible. There's some alcohol prep pads to help clean and adhesion promoter to help create a good bond between 3M and the paint. That paired with the bolts and washers will keep this wing in place. Wrapping things up with the Cervini's C-Series Wing, you're looking at the only true wing, not a spoiler, that's currently available for the S550. Being a wing, it's gonna offer a different look than any spoiler can. It's made from lightweight and durable fiberglass, and it ships unpainted. As always, you guys can check it out more online right here at americanmuscle.com.

I know that it says it will not fit convertible models. But what is the issue for why it won't? is it because of the potion of the attenna and if so, could this be remedied by removing the antenna and filling the hole or is there another reason?

    • The Cervini's C-Series Pedestal Wing will interfere with the antenna on convertible models. Deleting the antenna would allow fitment of this spoiler.

Will this be a direct fit/replacement for a 2018 lip wing without having to drill or cover any of the holes left behind.

    • Yes, the Cervini's C-Series Pedestal Wing will be a direct fit replacement and will reuse the existing factory holes left by the factory wing.

A Factory look for S550's with no spoiler

I was looking for a unique deck spoiler that was as close as possible to the deck spoiler that comes on the 2011-2012 GT/CS Mustangs. I was tired of seeing everyone installing the GT350 wing. IMO it just doesn't look that good even though it is functional. I came across the Cervini's C-Series Deck Spoiler and knew fairly quickly this was the one. it's very very close to the GT/CS style I was after but just slightly different enough to make it unique to the S550 body. The car looked bare in the back especially when one considers that the front end already has a chin splitter and fog lights on (15-17) GT's, so this deck lid spoiler completes the rear end look. I had the car at my Ford dealer for some promised touch up work and a couple other very minor things so I had them pop the spoiler on which they did in just a couple hours. (75$) I bought it painted J7 and had the underside painted Matte-Black thus matching the paint scheme of the GT/CS Mustangs of 11-12. (Even with a total of $800 Ford couldn't even come close (nearly $1,000 just for the bare unpainted wing) in price for their version of the GT/CS spoiler on GT/CS S550's . The wing arrived in a slightly collapsed box in the corner. it was well padded and no scratches, or scrapes of any kind. I'm very happy with it's aggressive appearance on the car and it's a style you rarely see on S550's which are everywhere now. The BONUS is that Cervini also makes a C-Series upper and lower front grill for the car, so it's matches up nicely. Cervini makes quality products

      Cervini Wing

Cervini C-Series wing is an awesome addition to my 15 Mustang GT. It was simple to install since no drilling was required. I had it painted at my dealer to match the color of my car. It came with primer only. The paint job cost a little under $200, so that needs to be taken in consideration when ordering. The install took about 2 hours to remove the factory spoiler and install the new one.

      Awesome Spoiler

Although I did not install this myself, the shop I worked with had a relatively easy time installing the spoiler. They stated that they only had to enlarge the OEM spoiler holes for fitment. The shop that painted this spoiler said that it required a bit of bodywork, but other than that, it was an easy install for them. The spoiler looks as if it should have come stock with the Mustang. Definitely a major upgrade for those who only have the OEM/no spoiler option but not too obnoxious to be considered a big wing. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with this product.

      Going back to my youth

Remembering my '67 GT350 and '70 MACH I - making this a project for my retirement. My all AM build list gives me a monthly upgrade. The Cervini wing may be a little to hip-hop for a 60 yo, but went for it. waiting for a new hood, then painting both pearl black on a silver ECO.

      Primer work

I bought this product and sent it to my body shop to have it painted in the deep impact blue. My body shop person spent about an hour sanding it down before painting because Cervini primered it down so much to cover the pinholes throughout the spoiler. That cost me an additional $100. So between that and the $238 it cost to paint it you will be into the overall cost of the spoiler of over $700.

Completes the look of your GT

I ordered mine unpainted and had my local Ford Body Shop complete the work for me as they had also done some custom Pearl White racing stripes for me. It took a bit of prep work but if your shop knows how to paint things right it will look as OEM as you can get. I helped with the install a bit, its really straightforward though a friend there to help measure and line things up is definitely handy.
