Functional Ram Air Scoop. Ram air scoops are designed to help ensure more cold air is delivered into your engine bay, something that this hood’s air scoop does pretty well. On this hood, this design not only helps with performance, but it also can accommodate a Whipple or Kenne Belle supercharger eliminating the need to lower your engine. What’s more, the 2 louvers help dissipate heat more efficiently, helping to keep engine bay temperatures down.
Robust Build Quality. Keeping this hood both strong and lightweight is its aircraft-grade fiberglass construction. Additionally, this hood is crafted to exacting standards, ensuring a precise fit when installed. Meanwhile, the included new squirters replace your factory components and are relocated to the hood’s underside. This offers a more clean-looking front area. Lastly, this ram air hood is kept unfinished, giving you the option of finishing the component to your desire.
Professional Installation Recommended. This type IV ram air hood is utilized your Mustang’s factory hinges as its mounting area, without modifications. That being said, this component requires some specialized prepping and priming before painting. If you’re not familiar with this type of procedure, or if you don’t have the proper painting equipment, professional installation is recommended.
