How to Install Cervini's Radiator Cover - Carbon Fiber (13-14 GT, V6; 10-14 GT500) on your Ford Mustang

Step 1:

Remove the plastic push pins holding the factory radiator cover in place using a fl at head screw driver as shown in fi g. A. Then remove the radiator cover from the car.


Step 1:

Note: This step will require 2 people.

With one person holding the hood open remove the prop-rod using a 10mm socket as shown in fi g.B. If the prop-rod is being reused, drill the 2 holes with a 1/4” drill bit through the new radiator cover before installing, if you have hood struts, the drilling of the holes is not needed.


Step 3:

The hood latch cable on the drivers side of the car needs to be moved to a new location. Remove the headlight bolt in order to slide the cable under the headlight mount. Before and After photo as shown in fi g.C.


Step 4:

In your hardware packet there are 3 sections of Velcro. Each of the 3 sections need to stay together untill the installation is complete. The Velcro has a hard plastic side and a softer material side. Clean the areas on the radiator support circled below as shown in fi g.D with rubbing alcohol, then remove the clear backing on the hard plastic side of the Velcro and attach it to the cleaned areas as shown in fi g.D.


Step 5:

Remove the clear backing on the other side of the Velcro. (2 people are needed for the next step to support the hood). Clean the areas on the bottom side of the radiator cover with rubbing alcohol where the Velcro will come in contact with the radiator cover. Install the new Cervini radiator cover in place with the factory push pins in the front of the radiator cover. Then fi rmly press the 3 areas where the Velcro is attached.

Step 6:

If the prop-rod is being re-used, clean the area where the holder needs to be attached with rubbing alcohol. Attach the prop-rod holder. Use the factory radiator cover as a referance for prop-rod holder location. DO NOT REMOVE RADIATOR COVER FOR 24 HOURS, THE VELCRO NEEDS TO ADHERE TO THE RADIATOR COVER!
