      Review & Installation Video

Hey everyone I’m Justin from AmericanMuscle.com, and checking out a set of these bright chrome OE style headlights for all 99-04 Mustangs. These headlights are great for someone who wants to make the front end of their New Edge Mustang look like new again, by replacing your worn out factory headlights with a one piece factory like design featuring a crystal clear lens and a bright chrome housing. Not only will these help you get that show room appearance once again, but they also greatly improve your night time visibility, by eliminating those cloudy yellowed stockers. You’ll be happy to know that installing these headlights is a very easy task, thanks to the headlight mounting system used in these cars. All you need to do is simply remove the two mounting tabs from each headlight, and then unplug the harness. Simply reinstall in reverse order, and you’re done, everything should take you about 30 minutes. However if you do have any problems you can always reference the detailed installation video located on this page. So if the front end of your New Edge Mustang isn’t exactly looking like new anymore, then a set of these chrome OE headlights might just be the fix you’re looking for.

        JUNK

I have two Mustang GT's and have spent a lot of money buying parts for both from here.I purchased a set of these for my 2004 with 58,000 miles on it due to them starting to cloud up This purchase was well within the last Nine months. I installed them and within the FIRST month they filled with moisture [ BOTH SIDES] I called to let them know and I was told to take pictures and send them so I did, It took weeks to get another set sent to me. So now they are full of moisture again and I call and am told Axial HAVE NO WARRANTY Paid $160.00 on here and E BAY''s are $59.00 and are WARRANTED FOR 6 MONTHS.

5 1999 Cobra - GeorgeW Installation Time: Afternoon

        Perfect fit

I installed these on my '99 Cobra which I have had since new. This is my third set in 20 years and by far it is the best as far as fit and finish. There was however a lot of cursing on the passenger side install. I didn't realize that the plastic guidance peg had broken off inside the hole when I removed the old headlight. Of course the new one would not install. After a couple of hours I realized the problem and was able to dig the old peg out. of the car. Then the new light fit like a charm.

Can you add HID bulbs to these, if so what Wattage would be advisable?

      • Upgrading to HID requires more than bulbs, and we would not recommend this modification.

What is the highest Wattage bulb that should be used in these housings?

      • Any 9007 bulb will work with this application. You won't have to worry about wattage or anything like that, if the bulb is a 9007, it will work properly.

According to a previous answered question, sealing the lights are recommended. Does this imply that there has been an issue with moisture/condensation? I've gone through 4 sets of headlights with a another brand and every single set ended up with moisture in them. They warranted every set until the last pair. Don't want to deal with that again. 0 answer

I purchased Item #42011 headlights. It said in the info to add the 9007 bulbs so I did. Stock Chrome vs Stock Black Housing? *This is more of an "opinion" question* I have a red 99 v6. The factory headlights are in OK condition but I want to replace them because my HID's just went out and now my car feels boring again. I know these are completely different because the bulb isnt changing just the housing, but I'm sick and tired of fussing with HID's and want something new. What would look better, the chrome or black? I'm leaning towards black because I have black rims, black shorty antenna, black interior and black decklid with black stripes and decals. Would that be an overboard of black though? Thanks! 5 answers
