Hey guys, Stephanie with AmericanMuscle.com, and I'm checking out this Clutch Pedal Extension for 1994 to 2015 manual Mustangs. Comfort while driving is essential, and I'm sure that many of us have tried to drive a manual Mustang in an uncomfortable position because we have to move the seat so far up to get a good feel for the engagement and disengagement of the clutch. This pedal extension moves the clutch pedal up one and a half inch closer to the driver to give you a more comfortable driving position without altering the performance of your clutch. You can see right away that the pedal extension is low key and hardly detectable, and you can put your pedal cover right over it. It's made from a high impact ABS plastic, and it's designed and manufactured right here in the USA. The ABS plastic design means that it's lightweight, and it has a superior durability so it'll last a lifetime, whether your car is a track car or a daily driver. Another plus here is the very simple installation of this pedal extension. The pedal extension comes complete with the two stainless steel screws that you'll need, and getting this installed should take you about 15 minutes. So if you're looking for a fast and easy way to improve your comfort while driving, then you should check out this clutch pedal extension for your '94 to 2015 manual transmission Mustang available here at AmericanMuscle.com.

Improves Ergonomics. Improve the driving ergonomics of your manual Mustang with a Clutch Pedal Extension for a more comfortable seating position. This Pedal Extension moves the clutch pedal 40mm (1.5") closer to driver so that you don't have to sit so far forward to fully engage/disengage your Mustangs clutch. This extension will not affect your clutch's performance; it is only designed to improve driver comfort.

Made in the USA. Proudly manufactured in the USA from automotive grade acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) plastic material for its light-weight and superior durability, this Clutch Pedal Extension will last a lifetime.

Application. This Clutch Pedal Extension is designed to fit all 1994 to 2019 Mustangs equipped with a manual transmission, including the V6, GT, Bullitt, Mach 1, SVT Cobra, BOSS, Shelby GT500 and EcoBoost models.

Please Note. A clutch pedal pad is not included with the Clutch Pedal Extension. You will use your stock or an aftermarket clutch pedal pad.

maybe you could help I got my pedal cover in place on the pedal extension but it doesn't seem to want to slip over my 2003 mach1 clutch pedal it seems to small tried it by just slipping it on by itself with the same result maybe you could tell me what I am doing wrong thanks

    • You can trying pulling the pieces of the extension to the side in over it slip the extension over the pedal. Below is a link to a detailed installation guide that will show you exactly how to install this pedal extension. http://1.cdn.lib.americanmuscle.com/files/525516-cust.pdf

Will this work with the Bullitt pedal setup? I would like to keep the same look of the bullitt pedals

    • If you are referring to the Bullitt style pedal pads that fit all Mustangs, the answer is yes. I have GT500 style pedal pads which are similiar and it fit fine. The trick is to heat up the pad in hot water and slide it on from the bottom. The alternate would be to put the pad on the extension first and "clam shell" it on.

Will the stock GT500 pedal cover fit on the extension?

    • The instructions say it fits all 1994 and up Mustangs with manual transmission. My Mustang has the rubber and stainless steel pedal covers, and by heating the cover with hot water I was able to put it on. There is also alternate instructions that have you put the pedal cover on first, then clam shell the extension on to the clutch pedal.

I've been using my clutch pedal for quite some time now which is excellent in shifting gears, however lately i noticed that it was a bit wiggling and loose. I later found out that the screws were missing. are there a replacement screws available for this?

    • Unfroutunettly, we do not carry the screws outside of this product for sale at this point in time.

Will this work with my Roush billet pedal covers. They are installed by drilling through the metal pedal and placing screw through the holes and securing on back with a threaded nut. It is the older style Roush covers for my 2007 Roush Mustang.

    • The Clutch Pedal Extension would not be compatible with a bolt on style pedal cover like you have, as this would require drilling through the new extension, which will most likely come into contact with the bolts holding the two halves together, and will also compromise the integrity of the extension.

      Needed some extra reach.

I have always found the clutch pedal travel somewhat longer on my 2004 Mach 1 then other cars. With a serious recent knee accident I needed some help to reduce the needed leg force to operate it and this extension is just perfect in that capacity. Even before my injury I was at times guilty of a lazy clutch foot, not any longer. The install was the real devil in this. Trying to install the aluminum billet factory clutch pedal on top of this was simply not even possible. The 2 halves of the extension must both go on straight to install. Without the factory pedal cover the install is quite simple. I put a piece of non slip tape where the pedal goes and it's just fine. This extension is just what the Mustang needs and excellent for the drag strip folks. I give 4 stars, minus one for not being able to put the factory clutch pedal cover on it.

      Perfect solution

Awesome product! I hated the stock feel of depressing my clutch pedal prior to this install. Awesome driving my s167 w/o my seat position having my chest into the steering wheel. Well done!

      What a difference!

Installed this on my newly aguired ‘05 after having one on my’04 and it makes driving so much better! At 5’9” I’m not exactly short but reaching the stock clutch pedal had me uncomfortably close to the steering wheel. Now I’ve got Mucb more comfortable driving position. After reading reviews I followed installation tips and had no problems. great product!

      Clutch Pedal Extension

This 2013 Mustang GT has an interlocking system that requires the clutch to be pressed firmly against the floor to start the car. The extension makes it easy and also moves me further away from the air bag.

      First mod of modesty

After years of my knees touching the dash I came across this product and it’s great. I can put my seat back 1-2 notches now which changes all my issues with having the seat too close. My elbow rests in a much more comfortable spot on the center console and my keys don’t touch my leg when I drive. Install went pretty quick I followed the alternate install instructions which is remove the pedal, put the pedal on the extension and then install on the car. Getting the pedal off is the easy part. Getting the pedal on the extension was more difficult but I put dish soap on the inside of the pedal and it slid on much easier.

      Little pedal extra!

From day one of my drive of this car ('12 V-6), 6 speed, the clutch pedal was just too far away from my foot! With the pedal extension, it's perfect! Just enough reach that I don't have to creep my seat all the way up to the dash! Great buy! Happy to shift all day, every day!

      Short stuff

Being 5’1” driving stick shift requires a little extra room on the clutch. This extension is absolutely perfect. It allows me sit comfortably and still reach the clutch. The installation was super easy. Did it myself. Awesome purchase 10/10 would recommend and buy again.

      Easier to drive now

Takes a little time to install the rubber pad on the new extension, it's a tight fit. But, I would rather spend some time to install it than to have to keep putting it back on, so I would say a tight fit is good. The clutch travel now feels like it should have been from the factory. I'm happy someone could engineer solution, to correct Fords mistake.

      It works!

I’m very pleased, 50 bucks and no shipping so I had to try and wasn’t disappointed, was easy to install ( I used method 2 ) and it inabled me to move my seat back far enough to get out from under the dash and give me leg room

Got it as a necessity, actually prefer it.

My wife recently had bunion surgery on her foot and raising the pedal was a last ditch effort to help her keep driving a manual, her foot would bend at the bottom of the stroke and the pedal arm hit her toes. Raising the pedal really helped both problems. I find it much more comfortable to drive particularly in heavy traffic regardless. Easy to install and made from what appears to be a durable plastic, this is very highly recommended.
