    Review & Install Video

Hey guys, Stephanie with AmericanMuscle.com, and I'm checking out this Clutch Pedal Extension for 1994 to 2015 manual Mustangs. Comfort while driving is essential, and I'm sure that many of us have tried to drive a manual Mustang in an uncomfortable position because we have to move the seat so far up to get a good feel for the engagement and disengagement of the clutch. This pedal extension moves the clutch pedal up one and a half inch closer to the driver to give you a more comfortable driving position without altering the performance of your clutch. You can see right away that the pedal extension is low key and hardly detectable, and you can put your pedal cover right over it. It's made from a high impact ABS plastic, and it's designed and manufactured right here in the USA. The ABS plastic design means that it's lightweight, and it has a superior durability so it'll last a lifetime, whether your car is a track car or a daily driver. Another plus here is the very simple installation of this pedal extension. The pedal extension comes complete with the two stainless steel screws that you'll need, and getting this installed should take you about 15 minutes. So if you're looking for a fast and easy way to improve your comfort while driving, then you should check out this clutch pedal extension for your '94 to 2015 manual transmission Mustang available here at AmericanMuscle.com.

Improves Ergonomics. Improve the driving ergonomics of your manual Mustang with a Clutch Pedal Extension for a more comfortable seating position. This Pedal Extension moves the clutch pedal 40mm (1.5") closer to driver so that you don't have to sit so far forward to fully engage/disengage your Mustangs clutch. This extension will not affect your clutch's performance; it is only designed to improve driver comfort.

Made in the USA. Proudly manufactured in the USA from automotive grade acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) plastic material for its light-weight and superior durability, this Clutch Pedal Extension will last a lifetime.

Application. This Clutch Pedal Extension is designed to fit all 1994 to 2020 Mustangs equipped with a manual transmission, including the V6, GT, Bullitt, Mach 1, SVT Cobra, BOSS, Shelby GT500 and EcoBoost models.

Please Note. A clutch pedal pad is not included with the Clutch Pedal Extension. You will use your stock or an aftermarket clutch pedal pad.

maybe you could help I got my pedal cover in place on the pedal extension but it doesn't seem to want to slip over my 2003 mach1 clutch pedal it seems to small tried it by just slipping it on by itself with the same result maybe you could tell me what I am doing wrong thanks

        • You can trying pulling the pieces of the extension to the side in over it slip the extension over the pedal. Below is a link to a detailed installation guide that will show you exactly how to install this pedal extension. http://1.cdn.lib.americanmuscle.com/files/525516-cust.pdf

Will this work with the Bullitt pedal setup? I would like to keep the same look of the bullitt pedals

        • If you are referring to the Bullitt style pedal pads that fit all Mustangs, the answer is yes. I have GT500 style pedal pads which are similiar and it fit fine. The trick is to heat up the pad in hot water and slide it on from the bottom. The alternate would be to put the pad on the extension first and "clam shell" it on.

Will the stock GT500 pedal cover fit on the extension?

        • The instructions say it fits all 1994 and up Mustangs with manual transmission. My Mustang has the rubber and stainless steel pedal covers, and by heating the cover with hot water I was able to put it on. There is also alternate instructions that have you put the pedal cover on first, then clam shell the extension on to the clutch pedal.

            Clutch Pedal Extension

I should have bought this when I first looked into it. Well worth the money. No more fatigue form over extending to fully engage the clutch. Now my Beast is much more enjoyable to drive around town in traffic.

            Just what I needed.

Exactly what I needed to get comfortable in the cockpit and reach the clutch pedal. I'm only 5'11" but have a 36" inseam. This was perfect for me. I was concerned about this being plastic but definitely fit well and very solid.

            Its Loose

The order and shipping was very good. When I installed the clutch extender if fits VERY loose. It move at between 3/8 - 1/2 in side to side. It seem like it isn't going to fall off, however, for the $1 worth of plastic used to make it and what I paid, I was expecting a much higher quality product.

            Pedal extension.

I can't believe how much difference this has made. I had already started looking for different trans because this one shifted so bad before. If your tired of hard shifts or waiting for it to pop in gear give this a try. Its alot easier than shimming throw out bearing or putting in a new clutch.

            Best addition so far!

With you having to push the clutch pedal for what seems like days to engage it and start the car, I had to put my knees in the dash just to do so. Now I can comfortably sit without my face touching the airbag and ride comfortably all while being able to just use the clutch like normal. This is my 4th mustang and this is by far the farthest a clutch pedal has even been needed to move. I am 5' 10" and whoever designed the clutch must not have had normal people test it. Thanks AM for a great addition to the ride

            Clutch Ext

I don’t usually write reviews, but this is a great product! My 13’ GT clutch you have to basically put it on the floor to shift, and where I had to position my seat sucked. If you 5’10 anyways. Now I can put my seat back, and enjoy driving.

            It Doesn't fit.

I literally left it in boiling water to help soften it up AND I cut all four corners, after uprooting a finger nail the clutch pedal cover still would not go on.

This product is very hard to put on. After an hour of sweating I gave up. I used a hair dryer and some oil to stretch the rubber to no avail. It still took me another 30 minutes to put the pedal cover back on.

            Clutch feels even funnier

The GT350 clutch has this wired 2 stage spring resistance. It was fine for me after some getting used to. But putting the extension on seems to have made things worse. Probably due to the changed angel on this thing the clutch was awful and I took it off after two trips. I wouldn't recommend for GT350 unless you absolutely need it. Maybe replacing the spring would make it feel normal again with the extension.
