    Review & Install Video

Hey guys, Stephanie with AmericanMuscle.com, and I'm checking out this Clutch Pedal Extension for 1994 to 2015 manual Mustangs. Comfort while driving is essential, and I'm sure that many of us have tried to drive a manual Mustang in an uncomfortable position because we have to move the seat so far up to get a good feel for the engagement and disengagement of the clutch. This pedal extension moves the clutch pedal up one and a half inch closer to the driver to give you a more comfortable driving position without altering the performance of your clutch. You can see right away that the pedal extension is low key and hardly detectable, and you can put your pedal cover right over it. It's made from a high impact ABS plastic, and it's designed and manufactured right here in the USA. The ABS plastic design means that it's lightweight, and it has a superior durability so it'll last a lifetime, whether your car is a track car or a daily driver. Another plus here is the very simple installation of this pedal extension. The pedal extension comes complete with the two stainless steel screws that you'll need, and getting this installed should take you about 15 minutes. So if you're looking for a fast and easy way to improve your comfort while driving, then you should check out this clutch pedal extension for your '94 to 2015 manual transmission Mustang available here at AmericanMuscle.com.

Improves Ergonomics. Improve the driving ergonomics of your manual Mustang with a Clutch Pedal Extension for a more comfortable seating position. This Pedal Extension moves the clutch pedal 40mm (1.5") closer to driver so that you don't have to sit so far forward to fully engage/disengage your Mustangs clutch. This extension will not affect your clutch's performance; it is only designed to improve driver comfort.

Made in the USA. Proudly manufactured in the USA from automotive grade acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) plastic material for its light-weight and superior durability, this Clutch Pedal Extension will last a lifetime.

Application. This Clutch Pedal Extension is designed to fit all 1994 to 2018 Mustangs equipped with a manual transmission, including the V6, GT, Bullitt, Mach 1, SVT Cobra, BOSS, Shelby GT500 and EcoBoost models.

Please Note. A clutch pedal pad is not included with the Clutch Pedal Extension. You will use your stock or an aftermarket clutch pedal pad.

    • You can trying pulling the pieces of the extension to the side in over it slip the extension over the pedal. Below is a link to a detailed installation guide that will show you exactly how to install this pedal extension. http://1.cdn.lib.americanmuscle.com/files/525516-cust.pdf

Will this work with the Bullitt pedal setup? I would like to keep the same look of the bullitt pedals

    Bullitt3719

    • If you are referring to the Bullitt style pedal pads that fit all Mustangs, the answer is yes. I have GT500 style pedal pads which are similiar and it fit fine. The trick is to heat up the pad in hot water and slide it on from the bottom. The alternate would be to put the pad on the extension first and "clam shell" it on.

Will this work with my Roush billet pedal covers. They are installed by drilling through the metal pedal and placing screw through the holes and securing on back with a threaded nut. It is the older style Roush covers for my 2007 Roush Mustang.

    Ihadtofillthisin

    • The Clutch Pedal Extension would not be compatible with a bolt on style pedal cover like you have, as this would require drilling through the new extension, which will most likely come into contact with the bolts holding the two halves together, and will also compromise the integrity of the extension.

I have a 2013 Boss 302 and I cant seam to get the pedal cover out. It feels like is glued in, i don't want to force it to much and break something.

    Bayoan

    • Removing the stock pedal cover to install the Clutch Pedal Extension, should come off without ease. If it is giving you troubles, someone may have glued it on for some reason. If you did not want to destroy the stock cover, I would recommend taking it to a shop to ensure it comes off in tact.

I'm 6'-1" tall. Anyone out there with a similar height use the clutch pedal extension?

    Rattfinkster

    • I am just a few hairs short of 6 feet tall, and these do work pretty well. If you like to sit with the seat in the further position, so your arms are not cramped, but your legs don't necessarily reach to the floor, I would highly recommend the Clutch Pedal Extension.

Will the stock GT500 pedal cover fit on the extension?

    TNTSVT2013

    • The instructions say it fits all 1994 and up Mustangs with manual transmission. My Mustang has the rubber and stainless steel pedal covers, and by heating the cover with hot water I was able to put it on. There is also alternate instructions that have you put the pedal cover on first, then clam shell the extension on to the clutch pedal.

      Perfect solution

Works perfectly! Don't have to sit so close to fully depress my clutch. My right leg was always cramped up from constantly backing off the gas pedal. Now with the clutch extension I can sit back and enjoy my new Mustang. I read the reviews here and can't understand why people are complaining about the bag the extension comes in? Put it on your car and enjoy the drive!!

      BEST $50 I'VE EVER SPENT

Got this extension pedal for my 99 Mustang because I was tired of driving so close to the steering wheel due to the clutch being so deep. BEST $50 I'VE EVER SPENT. My knees are no longer hitting my steering wheel and I'm able to drive comfortable at last!

      Fits '15 perfectly

Just installed this on my '15 GT - this is probably one of the best 'mods' I've added to the car. I didn't expect the difference to be so dramatic - and so much better! Highly recommended if you feel like you're stretching out more than you'd like for the clutch.

      Fifty bucks well spent!!

I have an 06 Mustang, and the only downside to the car, is the clutch pedal has to be pushed through the floorboard. Then I found this... first of all, fifty dollars is waaaay over priced for what it is, it even came in a Wal-Mart, Great Value sandwich baggie. For all the money spent, at least a name brand would be nice... but, it's almost a necessity. It's like a different car now. I really do like it, and I'll continue to rag on the price, and brag up the product. Trust me, you can't go wrong with this pedal adapter. Fifty bucks well spent!

      clutch pedal Extension

I have a 70 Mustang GT I have about 560 horsepower at the crank. I have a heavy-duty clutch. Yes I take the car to track every once in a while before I get to extension it was easy for me 2 miss a gear. Because there is no way to adjust The clutch I like my clutch to grab halfway. sense I put the extension in I have not missed a gear. There must have been a problem otherwise they would not have come up with this extension. I love it I wish they had come out with this sooner.

      Finally!!

I have 'rigged' my clutch pedal for seven years. Finally, they have made a perfect solution for those of us who are on the shorter side of life, (5'4" female here). It gives the clutch the perfect extra depth to put it to the floor for starting and shifting, without having to sit dangerously close to the airbag equipped steering wheel. Even better, it uses your stock clutch pad, so once it is installed, no one even notices it is there. Very nice product. Installed in 10 minutes including putting a little Loctite on the bolts.

      Unbelievable, Buy it!

This is the best mod I have ever done to my GT! The feel of the car is transformed, I used to have to sit real close to bottom my clutch, now I can sit back at a comfortable distance and shift though the gears. If you have a Mustang, you need a clutch pedal extension!

      More comfortable driving position.

This Clutch Pedal Extension is a great product! I'm 5'8", with most of my height in the torso. Before installing this, to keep my left hip happy in traffic, I had to keep the seat too close to keep my arms happy. Easy to install too. Hardest part was getting the clutch pedal pad off , then putting it back on after the extender was installed. Driving a bit with the heater on full blast helped get the pedal off (it's winter so that wasn't a problem. Heat gun or hairdryer would probably work too), and then getting it back on the extender. Soaking the pedal pad in hot water is very helpful there, and artful use of a couple screwdrivers to get the lip of the pedal pad in place all the way 'round. Took about 1/2 hour, most of which was getting the pedal pad back in place. Love the results!

      Worth the money!

I'm only 5'2 and bought this to add to my boyfriends '14 5.0 as I was paranoid having to sit right on top of the steering wheel and was having issues with my ankle hurting. I can now sit back a bit further and comfortably engage the clutch and not have my ankle hurt pressing the brake/gas from being so close. Install was easy and quick, around 5 minutes. This was definitely worth the $50.

      Not just for short legs!

This is a great product! Both my wife and I are tall and originally thought it wasn't something we needed, but decided to try it to allow moving the seat back further from the steering wheel. What a difference! This is great! You can move the seat back and have plenty of legroom, but still be able to fully depress the clutch pedal. Highly recommended for short or long legs!

      Now Totally Balanced

I own a 2014 GT/CS with a lot of mods...beautiful ride. Problem is my clutch (left) leg is about .75" shorter than my right. I got tired of my right knee hitting the center console so I decided to give this a shot. Difficult to put on but in the end...It's PERFECT! Thx AM.

      pedal extension

most happy overpriced item ive ever paid for. this thing makes a big difference if u want more space between u n the steering wheel. it was a breeze to put it on. make sure u dip the plastic pedal in hot water to go on easier on the extension. only wish i had longer arms like an ape so i could push the seat even further from the steering wheel. lol.
