Description
Purpose And Function. The T3 Onyx Series Turbo Shield/Blanket is designed to reduce underhood heat exposure by shielding the turbocharger from extreme temperatures. This product helps prevent heat damage to sensitive painted or carbon fiber hoods while promoting faster turbo spool times by maintaining a consistent turbo temperature.
Construction And Appearance. Crafted from a premium blend of heat resistant textiles, the shield features strong riveted stainless steel anchors for secure attachment. Its exterior presents a stylish black carbon fiber appearance with double reinforced seams on both the inside and outside for enhanced durability.
Installation. Installation is straightforward and requires no drilling, utilizing the included stainless steel wire and locking ties to firmly secure the shield around the turbo housing.
Application. This shield fits a wide range of turbo housings, including those by Garrett and Mitsubishi, though some adjustment may be needed to achieve the best fitment.
