        Shelby GT500

        This product was easy to install. Took about 7 hours with a lunch and a lot of swearing to get the trany out. Fixed the body to go back in real easy. The clutch operates completely different that the stock clutch. As soon as I break it in and race down the track, I will update. not for beginners.

        4 2008 GT500 - Rocky Installation Time: Weekend

        Way better

        Night and day difference from my old clutch to this new one from exedy! It shifts so much smoother now. Still in the break in process but so far it’s been great! Sweet install. Took me about a day a half to take it out and put it back in and holy cow it was intense

        Just ok

        Very very stiff in my 09 GT500, but it transfers power very well. It gets to be a pain in the butt when in stop and go traffic but shifts very smoothly when you open up the throttle

        5 2007 GT500 - TheFriskyHippo Installation Time: Afternoon

        Great replacement for stock clutch especially if clutch TSB isn't taken care of

        I needed to replace my clutch and I was looking for a straight forward aftermarket replacement. This kit is convenient as it comes with everything needed to complete the job in one kit. Note that this is a single disc clutch compared to the twin disc that comes stock. Despite being a single disc the clutch feel is great, comparable to what it is when stock. The grip is also great with plenty of strength to add HP to your pony. I also installed a stainless clutch line to help with pedal feel. The install is straight forward if you a familiar with this type of work and can be completed on jack stands. I also ordered sku# 50451 Ford Racing Modular Bellhousing Installation Kit as it is recommended to replace the bell housing bolts. I would not hesitate to use an Exedy product after seeing the quality and feel of this clutch.

        4 2010 GT500 - woolardmammoth Installation Time: Shop Install Installation Cost: $500-$1000

        Highly recommended if you plan on adding HP/Torque to your Shelby

        My clutch went out on 2010 GT500 on Christmas day and after taking it to the dealership they wanted to charge me an arm and a leg for a new stock clutch and resurfacing the flywheel. I did some research and came across the this Exedy clutch that is rated for more torque, includes the flywheel, and was still cheaper than a replacement stock clutch. I plan on adding some serious mods so I know this will protect my transmission. Note: after getting this clutch installed it will be extremely stiff to begin with. As a daily driver it definitely took some getting used to but as I put on more and more miles it started to break in. I also noticed that when you are WOT it gets easier to shift and they are super quick. The Ford dealership performed the installation and it cost about $900 after everything. You will also not be able to utilize the factory bolts for this and will have to purchase new ones which will cost you about $40.

      My 09 GT 500 clutch is really stiff will the Mach 700 fix the problem?

      • Being a stage 4 clutch this would still be a bit stiff, however, once the clutch is broken in you will notice a smoother shift and softer clutch pedal.

      If buying this clutch kit, will I need any additional parts in order to install on my mustang 08 gt500 shelby? Especially the throw-out bearing, since I have one from McLeod.

      • The Exedy Mach 700 Stage 4 Clutch w/ Puck-Style Flywheel and Hydraulic Throwout Bearing (07-11 GT500) will come with everything you need to install this on your car. This will even come with the Flywheel.
