The Flowmaster 225 Series Enhanced Duty Catalytic Converter, featuring a 2.50-inch inlet diameter and slip-fit connection types, is designed to reduce harmful emissions and help keep vehicles compliant with federal EPA standards in 49 states. This universal converter efficiently processes exhaust gases to reduce pollutants while preventing Malfunction Indicator Lamp issues, making it essential for maintaining clean emissions and vehicle performance across a broad range of applications.
Construction and Appearance. Built with a durable stainless steel outer shell and a ceramic substrate coated with precious metals for optimized efficiency, this catalytic converter has a natural finish and an oval clam shell body shape. It includes a heat shield to protect against excessive heat exposure, ensuring sustained performance and durability.
Installation. Installation requires welding and/or fabrication, which is best performed by qualified technicians. No drilling is generally needed, but some fitment adjustments may be necessary due to its universal design.
Warranty. The product includes a 25,000-mile warranty covering emissions functionality and a 5-year or 50,000-mile warranty on the exterior casing.
Application. This catalytic converter fits universal applications with some adaptation required. It is not legal for sale or use on vehicles licensed or operated in California due to specific state emissions regulations.
