Does Not Fit 2003 GT
Will not clear the spare tire wheelwell. The fins stick out too far. Really deformed the sheet metal. Would like to post a picture. Not sure where to do that at though.Helpful (2)

Solid Ford OEM Quality Part.
My car originally came with the same cover minus the the drain/fill holes which is no bueno, so I waited to buy this one until I needed to change the diff fluid. After install, I used a hand suction pump and hose to fill the rear diff because the fill hole is inaccessible using just the bottle that the gear oil is in. Install was fairly simple except you will need to lower the panhard bar. It is in the way. Luckily my panhard bar is adjustable because the rear end shifted when I disconnected it. So I had to spend extra install time to get the rear centered again. Maybe putting jackstands on the rear axle might prevent it from shifting?Helpful (3)

Unit itself is great, needs new hardware
I didn't realize when I purchased but when while installing the cover, the factory bolts wouldn't reach far enough. Be sure to purchase longer bolts before you install.Helpful (6)

The cover is great. How ever the customer service was awful. All the lady did was make excuses. When asked for supervisor put me on hold to come back and argued. Asked for sup again placed on hold. All she did was make excuses and lie. 1 the spec,s your website states for the plug thread is wrong. Its a 11m fine thread or 7/16 fine thread. This was discovered after I had already went to 3 hardware stores and 2 fastner speciality shops and the Ford dealership. AM charges 146 for this part no plug supplied the Ford dealership charges 90 bucks for same part with plug supplied. I took the one from AM in the box to Ford . They brought the same one in the same box all part numbers the same made in same place supplied by same buyer opened it ford me and there was the plug. So cover is great. AM customer service horrible. I have spent alot of money with AM the past year. Not sure I will buy agan from AM anytime soon..... Anyway I hope the correct thread size will help you guys so you don't have the same experince I did.Helpful (14)

Good Cover - Make sure you Order the Right One!
The cover is great and fitment is tight with an aftermarket panhard bar (about 0.5" clearance). MAKE SURE YOU ORDER THE RIGHT ONE. AM has a couple cersions of this and one of them is the COVER ONLY! NO HARDWARE came with it so it won't go on because the factory bolts on the factory GT cover are too short. You will also be missing the vent plug. The bolts are UNOBTAINIUM! If you find them at a dealer, they want $16/bolt for 10 bolts so the bolts locally cost more than the coverHelpful (9)
Has anyone installed this on a stock 2011 Mustang GT with 8.8 rear end? Will it fit? # DR3Z4033B
The Ford GT500 Finned Differential Cover will fit a 2011 GT
Since it has a breather/vent on the differential can we plug the vent on the left side of the axle.
The Ford GT500 Finned Differential Cover will include fill and drain plugs but will not include a breather or vent.
will it fit a 2007 mustang 4.6 3v gt with any problems
Yes this will fit 2007 GT models.
How much rear clearance is required over the stock rear diff cover for this one? My car is a Crown Victoria with an 8.8 and I'm concerned about sway bar clearance.
What are the torque specs for the cover bolts? I assume they may be different than a stock steel cover.
Stock differential cover bolt torque should be used.
We sell an upgraded differential hardwarekit. I will link it here for you. https://www.americanmuscle.com/bmr-differential-hardware-upgrade-kit-1518.html
Yes, this differential cover will work with 3.73 gears.
When filling the rear with the Ford GT500 Finned Differential Cover fluid level is still determined by the bottom of the fill plug.
Yes. The BMR adjustable panhard bar will fit with this Ford GT500 Finned Differential Cover - 8.8 in. It may be a snug fit. But it will fit.
The Ford GT500 Finned Differential Cover does not include hardware or gaskets.
Since you have the 8.8" rear end Ford did not really change up there rear ends much. We would not be able to guarantee that this part would fit on your F150, however, there is a good possibility it will.
Hello! The Ford GT500 Finned Differential Cover uses a gasket.
This diff cover will have the same capacity as your stock one. You should not need any more fluid than normal.
You can paint this diff cover, though it will be subject to different terrains and weather conditions because of its location. The paint may eventually chip off.
While it is possible to paint this, I would recommend leaving it as is as the paint will start to bubble and peel when exposed to high levels of heat.
