      Great part

Simple as pie to remove the old galled-up aluminum one and install one. Excellent quality and price here.

      No issues

Perfect fit no problems. Never know what you're going to need when you do the first clutch job on a used car so I generally like to replace everything related while I'm in there the first time.

      Better then stock

Strong and light weight the aluminum one likes to get waves in it and that's what cause my throwout bearing to keep going out finally replaced it with this one and haven't had an issue since

      5 speed swap

Works as described, make sure you check the end play before removing you old bearing retainer. If its loose make sure you shim the bear race correctly to avoid premature wear and vibrations.

      T5 Bearing retainer

I replaced a beat up bearing retainer with this Ford Racing Retainer, it fit perfectly and feels higher quality than the one that it had. So far no performance issues and now I can rest in peace knowing that the throw out bearing wont go out on me due to a bad bearing retainer.

Review from Ford Performance T5 Bearing Retainer (83-93 5.0L)

      Good product

When I was installing this I noticed it didn't come with a new retainer bearing and shim! I thought it would've came with it. Removing bearing from my existing retainer turned out to be a pain! Had to yank and pry for a while to get it to pop up. Maybe heating old retainer would've made it easier but it eventually broke loose. For the price I would like to see hose pets included with purchase but otherwise a good product and easy install. Haven't finished with engine rebuild get so haven't ested out new clutch kit with retainer. I'm sure it'll work great as all other parts from AM!! Thanks

Looks a lot more sturdy and well built.

Fit perfectly and seems much more well built than the original. I haven't driven the car yet with this install but decided to due it since I had to drop the transmission anyway.

Review from Ford Performance T5 Bearing Retainer (83-93 5.0L)

      Great upgrade

The GT's have the weak aluminum version of this. It doesn't hold up well to years of abuse from the steel throw out bearing. This stands up the abuse far better.

      genuine Ford

When I went to the Ford parts site, I was able to find the part but w/o pricing... I came to American Muscle. The price was clearly marked and easy to find.. My local Ford dealer whom I've dealt w/ before, as the local dealer is the sales point for the Ford parts site, they told me the part would cost 94.00. I was astounded! American Muscle had the part for 40 delivered, and it was a better part. My local dealer told me they couldn't even buy the part for 40. I guess you guys should be selling parts to the local dealers... Nice job to American Muscle. Yours,,,, Doug Horvath
