        Quality Product

Seems to be very good quality. Haven’t installed yet, but hoping it will lighten the pressure of the stock cable driven clutch.

        5 2003 Cobra - Chris

        great product

The product is a big advancement from the regular clutch. It feels like butter when pressing down on the clutch. I personally did not install it in my car but my mechanic said it took about an hour and a half to install properly.

        Great product

Compared to a cable clutch it's like night and day. Took a while to bleed the throw out bearing but once bled its awesome. McLeod instructions are garbage and pics are near impossible to see. Had to search the web to figure out how to bleed the product. I would definitely recommend this to anyone but be prepared to spend some time on the bleeding process..

Will this throw out bearing fit a TR6060 trans? I'm putting a GT500 drive train in an SN95.

      • The McLeod Hydraulic Clutch Conversion Kit is designed specifically for the T-45 or TR3650 manual transmission and will not work with the TR6060 transmission.

My 2004 Mustang GT clutch is extremely stiff, pedal is hard to push. I've been driving manuals all my life, so believe me, this one is over the top stiff. New clutch and BBK cable system didn't change a thing. Will this product solve my problem?

      • The key benefits of converting to hydraulic linkage are softer pedal effort, cleaner clutch disengagement and best of all, its self adjusting, so there are no more tedious pedal adjustments required.

I have a 2004 Mustang GT and want to do this conversion kit and replace anything else that should be replaced in the clutch system while I'm at it. Aside from a new clutch and resurfaced flywheel, is there any other parts that I should replace? From my understanding, the clutch fork is eliminated and I'd imagine the pivot stud is eliminated as well. Should I buy new roller pilot bearing or anything else?

      • The fork would indeed be eliminated and this will be a complete kit that contains a master cylinder, internal hydraulic bearing, and braided steel lines

Will this kit eliminate the clutch fork in my 2001 Ford Mustang GT

      • The McLeod Hydraulic Clutch Conversion Kit will eliminate the clutch fork in favor of a hydraulic throw out bearing assembly.

How's the durability and life expectancy? Has anyone had any problems with the throw out bearings? This thing sounds awesome!

      • The durability and life expectancy is entirely dependent on how its used, if fluid is checked regularly and this is not used for constant race use then it will last a considerable amount of time. There have not been any issues with the throw-out bearings for this kit.

What is the difference between this kit and the previous kit? http://www.americanmuscle.com/mcleod-hydraulic-clutch-7904.html I successfully installed the old kit in a T56, but I need to install it in another Mustang with a T56. I have a 2004 mustang manual transmission and my clutch adjuster (plastic piece) is worn and it keeps going out of the grooves and the tranny gets stuck in whatever gear I am at the time. I have to turn off the engine and shift to 2nd gear and pull off in a safe area and get in under the dash and pull it back in place. I need to replace that plastic piece with a metal. Any ideas? Thanks much!! 1 answer
