    Ask a Question

Can you change the intake manifold from carb to a foxbody 5.0 with fuel injection?

What would it take to swap this from a 4.0l v6 2005 mustang? Would my trans work and wires and so forth? Thank you Kris M

    • To fit the Ford Performance 347 in that year car, a different K-member and engine mounts first would be needed. Following this a whole new wiring harness that would be ford 302 based and a computer to work with that wiring harness. The transmission is not designed to work with this transmission based on the power levels. This engine is not designed to be an easy installation into that year mustang unfortunately this is just a rough list, much more would be needed.

What type of headers will fit this motor ?? What about intake ?

    • The 347ci sealed engine is a stroked 302ci with performance internals, 302 high performance intakes and exhaust manifolds would be best recommended for use with this engine.

What transmission could be used for this engine?

    • Any transmission that can hold the horse power rating of the Ford Performance 347 CI 415 HP Sealed Racing Engine 7mm Valves and has a bell housing that will fit.

Okay, so just curious 2 things. first is will this fit my 1996 4.6L 2v v8 model? second how easy would the install be? I know a fair amount about cars especially fords. but I am curious if I set out to do this, how long would it take including pulling my original engine. I am probably not going to replace my engine since it is good. just want to know a little more about this engine. thanks

    • This is a fully custom built race motor meant for custom race applications. There are no cars this is designed to fit in perfectly, it will require custom fabrication for any car you would like to drop this motor into. How long this installation would take all depends on your plans with the car and motor and your experience with this type of install.
