  • The Ford Performance 8.8 in. Rear Axle Bearing & Seal Kit will not fit on the 2010 Mustang V6. The 2005-2010 Mustang V6 Models were equipped with a 7.5" rear end not the 8.8. This part here is designed to work with the 8.8" rear end.

Can't go wrong with Ford parts

My seals were leaking so i decided to change the bearing also. I also change to a Ford racing dif cover at the same time. Other than you'll need some special tools to remove and install the bearing, it was extremely easy and fast. Once the axles were out, it took less than 10 minutes to replace both bearing and seals.

    Great Bearings, Amazing AM Service

Bought these after some chatting online with an AM representative about some groaning noises. I work at a Ford dealer and had a tech install them. After a fluid refill I was back on the road, with no noises. A great buy for noisy or leaky axles! As always, I appreciate the staff at American Muscle for getting my pony back on the road.

Stop The Noise - Ford Racing Bearing Kit

This FORD Racing Bearing Kit (M1225-B1) has the parts you need to quiet down those old / tired axle bearings. kit includes bearings and seals. My 2007 Mustang GT has 157K and I've changed the differential fluid every 40K with Mobil 1 75W140 Synthetic gear oil and Ford Friction Modifier (XL-3), but they still wore out. Use care when installing the seals to prevent damage. Thanks again American Muscle for the fast delivery!

    Noisy rear end !

Having some growling coming from the rear end of my 2014 Mustang GT yanked out the old bearings ( and I mean yank, they were stuck in there) Got the Ford Racing Bearing and seal kit from American Muscle. Shipped super fast (as usual) and installation was a dream compared to taking them out. Cruising in silence !!

    Axle Bearings

Shipping was quick. nice and beefy bearings. My old bearings were damaged when rear axle leaked all fluid out(my error) and I kept driving. Luckily axle shafts were ok. Replaced bearings and seal out and all is well again. Thanks AM

if your building your rear axle buy them

the last thing you want is to spend all kinds of money making your rear axle stronger, and then have an issue down the road with the bearings. if anything, install them for the piece of mind.

Rear Axle bearing and seal kit

Went in like a champ, with no issues. I am putting in 3:73 gears and decided with 60K miles I should replace the bearings and seals. I'm on the 4th try to get the shims set up properly. My mechanic has over 40 years of experience doing this sort of thing. The Shims kit does not have enough thin shims, so I had to order them from Ford.

Ford Racing Axle Bearings and Seals

At about 49K miles I noticed some fluid drips in my left rear wheel. After taking a look I realized it was gear oil from differential. I ordered these and did some research on the removal and install, i did the work with basic garage tools, and no more leaks! Be sure to inspect your axles where they ride on the bearings especially if you have high mileage. This kit is a cheap way to ensure you don't ruin your rear end!

    Need more parts

Includes most stuff needed for a gear change, however only one pinion shim, and if you are doing a complete rebuild, you will still need the two main bearings for the differential which you can get from a local auto parts. No instructions were provided with the kit. An internet search was required to get instructions and important information before doing the work. Wish more gear paint was included. Make sure you know the difference between a face hobbed and a face milled gear before trying to shim the pinion. The paint patterns obtained for these require actions which are completely the opposite of each other. Make sure you have a micrometer and dial indicator to shim the differential properly.
