    Features & Details

    • Eliminates Annoying Dash Light
    • Easily Switch Between Winter and Summer Rims
    • Includes 4 TPMS Sensors and Syncing Tool
    • Genuine Ford Racing Part - M-1180-A
    • Designed for All 2010-2014 Mustangs
Turns Off Dash Light. The Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) on your 2010-2014 Mustang is a great safety feature that alerts you when your tire pressure drops to an unsafe limit. However, if you decide to bolt-on a new set of rims without these sensors installed you will be constantly reminding that they are missing with an annoying dash light. In some states a TPMS warning light can be cause for a failed inspection. This Ford Racing TPMS Sensors and Activation Tool Kit makes it possible to install new sensors into your new rims and sync them to your Mustang's computer there by eliminating that annoying dash light.

TPMS Transmitter Tool. Ford Racing's TPMS Transmitter is used to sync the new sensors to your cars computer after you have installed them into your S197 Mustang's wheels. The syncing process is easy , simply point the transmitter at the wheel, push the button, listen for your car's horn and move to the next tire.

Kit Contents. This Ford Racing TPMS Kit comes complete for use on all four wheels and includes 4 Stem-Mounted TPMS Sensors and 1 TPMS Transmitter Tool. This kit makes it easy to switch between your stock rims and aftermarket rims at will. This kit is ideal for those that run different wheels in the winter and in the summer. The TPMS Transmitter Tool can be purchased separately if you already have your sensors

Important Tire Rotation Note. When rotating tires that are equipped with TPMS sensors, it is important to reuse the TPMS Transmitter Tool to recalibrate the sensors. By rotating your tires, you are changing the physical location of the sensors and your car's computer will need to update to be aware of this location change. Failure to do so will result in inaccurate and incorrect low tire pressure monitoring.

Application. This Ford Racing TPMS Sensors and Activation Tool Kit is specifically designed for use on 2010 to 2014 Mustangs including the V6, GT, BOSS and Shelby GT500 models.

Does these sensors have any adjust ability? Like if I change to a tire that runs a lower pressure... Can they be taught to the lower pressure?

    • The Ford Performance TPMS Sensors do not have any adjustment capabilities.

What is the difference between the Ford Racing TPMS kit and the regular one with the yellow sensor bodies?

    • The only difference between the Ford Racing TPMS Sensors and Activation Tool Kit - 4 Wheels (10-14 All) and the TPMS Full Mounting/Balancing Kit - 4 Wheels (10-14 All), item # 76161, (http://www.americanmuscle.com/tpms-fullkit-2010.html) is that the Ford Racing sensors are a Genuine Ford Racing Part. The sensors and transmitter tool do the same job and both have superior quality. Regardless of which kit you go with, both will eliminate the dash light from not having TPMS. Also, both work just fine in any of our wheels. So, if you're looking into ordering a wheel and tire kit, both of these kits will work just fine!

I recently got some stock staggered mustang 19" rims from my buddy that came on his 15' stang. Mine is a 14, having trouble calibrating them to my car. Do any if the stock come with the tpms valve stem or do them need to be replaced?

    • The TPMS sensors that are factory with the 2015+ Mustangs are not compatible with the 2014 Mustang. You will need to reuse your stock TPMS sensors or purchase a set that is compatiblewith your Mustangs system like this kit.

Do I need to also purchase any mounting brackets/bands with these? Or does this kit include everything I need to install these onto new aftermarket wheels?

    • The Ford Performance TPMS Sensors and Activation Tool Kit utilizes a valve stem mounted TPMS instead of the band style sensors, so no additional bands or hardware will be needed for installation.

      tire sensors

These work great on my mustang gt, recommend these and the remote is easy to use, if you buy a second set of wheels and buy these sensors in them too, you can use the activation tool rather than paying to get it done every time you swap from street to slicks or other wheels/tires

      TPMS

Put these on my Mickey Thompson street comp tires 305/35/20r rear and 255/35/20r front. When programming these sensors the tires need 2b on the car and on the ground. After putting the car into learn mode by hitting the brake clicking to the on position 3 times than hitting the brakes and again clicking into the on position 3 times the horn will honk. Then your dash info center will say train left front tire which you do by clicking the sensor within 2 inches of the valve stem that it’s installed to. The horn Will honk once after it reads it then u move clockwise around the car until all four tires have been programmed . Normally this goes very quick and can program all four tires in minutes. For whatever reason the sensor tool had a very hard time reading my rear tires got timed out of the program five times and almost gave up. Finally got it 2 read but very difficult maybe the wider tires came into play but really think the sensor tool just wasn’t strong enough. So far no problems with the actual sensors have around 1500 miles on them.

      Ford TPMS sensors

Works perfect. Didn't even have to program. Highly recommended if you're getting an extra set of rims n tires for your Mustang. The frequency is 315mhz for the sensors. - just FYI

Ford Performance is the way to go.

I originally purchased the yellow Oro-tek tpms sensors with my wheel and tire kit, unfortunately 3 of the sensors had failed within a week of having them. Sent all four back in exchange for the Ford Performance tpms sensors and haven't had a problem since. I wish i would have got these from the beginning. I'd also like to mention that AM did an amazing job working with me through the exchange process.

      Completely useless

I ordered them with my tires and I received them not mounted, so I can't use them unless I let my tires be opened and mounted again, wich will cost me about 250$. I tried to contact Americanmuscle.com twice and I received no replay. This is no way of doing business.

      Easy

Very Easy to install start with the driver side rim and work your way around clockwise. Listen for the horn to beep and you are good to go.
