    Calibrated for Optimum Performance. More air equals more power is true, to a point. The problem is that the factory calibrated Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor is limited and will "peg" due to too much air. To combat this common issue Granatelli Motor Sports has custom scaled and calibrated their MAF Sensor to accurately read higher volumes of air for optimum performance. This higher calibration makes a GMS High Performance MAF Sensor ideal for use with high flow aftermarket cold air intakes and force inducted applications.

    Power and Performance. With a noticeable increase in airflow over the stock sensor you can expect to see chassis dyno proven increases of 10 to 18 horse power with improvements in performance starting from 2000 rpm's all the way to red line. By installing a GMS High Performance Calibrated MAF Sensor you will not only see an improvement in power and performance, but you will also see an improvement in your fuel mileage and throttle response.

    Plug-N-Play Installation. Designed to be a direct fit plug-n-play replacement for the factory sensor this Granatelli Motor Sports Slot-Style MAF Meter installs with just basic hand tools. No extra modifications are required for an easy 15 minute installation. All necessary parts and instructions are included.

    Application. This Granatelli Motorsports Slot-Style MAF Sensor Meter is specifically designed to fit 2011 to 2014 GT and BOSS Mustang models equipped with the Coyote 5.0L 4 valve V8 engine. Sold individually.

    I have a 2012 Mustang GT 5.0 with longtube off-road X pipe catback headers with Roush exhaust and a Lund tune. How much gain will I actually see? And will I need to update the tune with this?


    • This GMS High Performance Slot-Style MAF Meter / Sensor is already calibrated, so it will not require a tune to function properly, however, we would highly recommend a tune to see that most out of the meter. We have seen upward of 20hp on on most applications, however, true results will depend on your modifications and/or if you get a tune.

    I have a 2012 GT with a Magnusson Supercharger and many other mods. Right now it produces 526 RWHP (dyno). Can I install this sensor without changing the tune? Will I see improvement over the stock MAF sensor that is there now?


    • The GMS High Performance Slot-Style MAF Meter / Sensor - Calibrated (11-14 GT) will require you to tune the vehicle, especially with all the modifications that you have done to it. If you install this MAF without a tune, there is a chance of you running lean and that can damage the motor.

    Is this only for people without a tune? Or can this be used with a tune and a cai? and if so are the gains still the same?


    • The GMS High Performance Slot-Style MAF Meter / Sensor - Calibrated (11-14 GT) can be used with a tune and some minor bolts ons. If you plan to install this MAF sensor, I suggest getting a new tune that will accommodate the new sensor. If you run this sensor without a tune, it will not give you the same gains as it would with a tune.

    I've just installed a JLT Performance Cold Air Intake with a tune on my 2012 gt- 5.0. Will I require another tune after installing the GMS sensor?


    • The GMS sensor would not require a tune no!

    I have a cobra jet intake manifold and the Ford Racing Cobra Jet Cold Air Intake, would I benefit from this MAF Sensor?


    • You would see minor performance gains when using the GMS High Performance Slot-Style MAF Meter / Sensor with your setup.

    Will I need a tune for this product on a stock 5.0 ?


    • Hello! The does not require a tune, but is intended for motors with forced induction, or aftermarket intakes. You may not see any benefits with a stock motor.

      Installed, works great!

      I have this installed with the Trackey, exhaust mods, Accel Super Coils, 90TB, Spacer, etc.. I have tried two sets of tires (305's in the back) and still spin them like crazy 1st - 3rd, sometimes even in 4th gear. If you have aftermarket coils, it is possible to throw codes from electromagnetic interference which would throw you into safe / limp mode. That would kill performance, so it might be best to put some gold or silver heat tape inside the coil covers to block some of the signals. I did that easy fix, my Boss 302 hauls! I love it.

      Great addition

      I got my gms sensor and put it stright in my mustang as soon as i got it, with the bbk intake, and bbk 8mm throtlebody the car was even more alive great piece of engineering and great results!

      Avoid this

      Im not too sure about what kind of builds the other people who reviewed this had. I have a 2014 track pack GT and my mods were the boss mani, bbk tb, steeda cai, tune, headers and gms street fighter coil packs. Im not sure if it was the mods i have or the product itself but for whatever reason when i had this installed the car just drove like a slug. It couldnt even break traction in first gear with this thing installed. I would definitely avoid this product if you plan on having several other mods as well. It doesnt play well with others. I wanna thank AM regardless for the customer service they gave me the full refund as soon as i explained what was happening.

      Easy Performance

      I have a 2012 Boss with the track key, great performance 3000 RPM and above (seat of the pants feel). Slightly better gas mileage. Also, an easy 15 min install.
