    Review & Install Video

Hey, Stephanie with AmericanMuscle.com here taking a closer look at Raxiom Smoked Projector Headlights with CCFL Halos, fitting 2010 - 2012 GT and V6 Mustangs with factory HIDs. Raxiom is the leader in after market Mustang lighting, producing tons of cutting edge and innovative products with an OEM quality fitment, and all backed by a full two-year warranty. These headlights offer aggressive and intimidating styling, featuring a black housing and a smoked lens, all in a projector-style headlight. Now the projector-style bulb will give you a bright, focused beam of light which will improve both your day and nighttime visibility. Another difference with these headlights are the CCFL halo accent lighting, which just round out that intimidating look of the headlights, along with the amber side markers and the three LED bulbs, which will just give you a little bit more styling. If you'd like to check out pictures of these headlights installed on customer cars, then be sure to head back to the product page at AmericanMuscle.com if you're watching this video from somewhere other than a website. While you're at the site, feel free to check out the full lineup of headlight options and new products that are available for your Mustang. These Halo projector-style headlights are specifically designed to only fit the 2010-2012 GT and V6 Mustangs that come from the factory with HID lighting. The headlights will retain the factory HID lighting in both cases. So if you've been searching for a projector-style headlight with halos and accent lighting to run with your HID Mustang, then these are the lights for you. The headlights also come with the quick splice connectors that are needed for the install. Now when you're ready for the install, you can expect to spend about an hour with these headlights since you do have to pop off the front bumper cover and splice in some wires. But once you get those two things out of the way, everything else is plug and play. If you guys have any questions or concerns about the headlights or the install, you can always reach out to a Mustang expert at any time for assistance. So if you're looking to add some unique and aggressive style to your 2010 - 2012 Mustang, then be sure to check out a set of Raxiom Smoked Projector Headlights with CCFL Halos. Available right here at AmericanMuscle.com.

I have a 2012 GT Mustang with halogen bulbs. I want to change them to HID bulbs, and I also want these headlights. What should I do?

    • These headlights would only work with the factory HID bulbs and would not work with aftermarket HIDs. We do sell the HID bulbs link below) However for these to work you will need the factory headlight with the HID ballasts. https://www.americanmuscle.com/raxiom-hid-bulb-upgrade-6000k-0817hid.html

It looks like in the customer photos a number people have a white side indicator as opposed the the amber shown in the product picture. Is that just a bulb switch?

    • The white side indicator in the customer pictures is most likely the result of a bulb swap.

I have noticed in some of the pictures that some people have yellow lighting and others have white lighting how do you get white lighting on the side instead of yellow.

    • These headlights will maintain the OEM light color. Changing the color of the light output would require changing the headlight bulbs themselves.

Hey everyone so I’m looking to get these exact headlights but I want to be able to change the color of the ring to red like how I’ve seen in some pictures. What do I have to do to achieve the red ring?

    • These headlights by Raxiom would have a white halo ring. We have not done any customization to this headlight to change out the halo ring color and that set up would be completely custom. In order to get that look, you may have to open the headlight assembly which would void the Raxiom 2 year warranty.

How well do these work in the rain and at night?

    • These headlights are smoked meaning there is a film over the lenses that will restrict a certain level of light from becoming visible. This is still used on plenty of daily, street driven vehicles with little to no complaints but need to understand that you will be sacrificing some visibility for appearance.

Hello all - I have a 2012 GT with factory HID lighting. For anyone who has this setup, with HIDs, how badly does it interfere with night lighting? Does it make the light output significantly dimmer? I bought the HIDs to help me see deer, coyotes, rabbits, kids playing, etc, more clearly. If these make the light too dim, probably won't get them. 1 answer

I have factory HID's but honestly don't love the look. These are super cool looking but are they comparable to, brighter than or dimmer than the factory HID's? I changed my car order to a Pony Package specifically to get the HID's because I live in the middle of the woods and wildlife on the roads is quite prevalent and wanted the brightest light source possible. Would hate to swap them out and then find they aren't as bright as what I have now. 1 answer

Is this halo/parking light configuration a daytime/all-the-time running configuration? If not is that possible to do? Great headlights, love the halo. Install was simple, they work great. They seem to be brighter than the stock headlights.

      oh boy

I wanted to not hate these lights. I actually wanted to love them, after driving with them for about two months. However, ill be swapping them out back for oem. The lights look great, and the fitment is perfect, however.... The visibility on them are horrible. Your essentially downgrading from factory HIDS to extremely dim halogens. High-beams are completely useless even if you can properly adjust them, the beam pattern is horrible and produce no usable light. Also take notice, most of the 4-5 star reviews are either fake, or from people who don't do to much back-road driving. one last pointer: buyer beware, the quality control on these lights are also shoddy. A buddy of mine bought these from AM and one of the headlights is defective (works, but adjustment knob doesn't adjust down all the way). So i bought another pair from ebay (same raxiom headlights, unopened, buyer changed his mind about putting on) and we ran into the same issue.

Looks good, comes with some problems.

Overall they are nice the only problem i had is the high beam shutter for the passenger side gets stuck if i use the high beams about halfway down, had to remove and physically push the shutter down.

Made it work in a non HID car

After a few weeks of getting new ballasts bulbs wiring harness and connectors these bulbs are great. When I bought these in December there was no option for lights for my non HID 2011 but with some patience and searching for all together less than $600 you can use these in a non HID car.

Just awesome fit better than stock didn't like the wire connectors or the super weak bulbs that comes with it I was expecting hid's or an led bulb.

      Quick Upgrade

Easy to follow instructions and not a job that requires going to a shop. The results give an aggressive appearance but due to the tint on the plastic, the light output is degraded, so expect that. Still definitely worth the buy.

Look great on my mustang, BUT I had to replace the H9 headlight sockets the burned out within 4 months both left and right I had to replace them with American H9 sockets. Other than that love the look.

      Easy Install and Beautiful Lighting

I absolutely love this headlight assembly. Taking the bumper off was a little intimidating, but super easy once you get started and follow the directions. I got the matching fog lights and did them both in one install. The smoked lens adds a great aggressive look to the performance white of my mustang. Although the halos aren't bright enough to drive with they add lots of light to the ground when using high beams. Great for driving in very dark conditions! Love them! 10/10

      Love these headlights!!!

I was very worried about the installation of these headlights because i wasn't comfortable taking the bumper off. However, I watched the video on YouTube from AM and felt more comfortable doing it! It actually is very easy!!! I did it myself just follow the instructions and the video and it's very easy!!! The only wiring that needs to b done is also Very simple! You don't have to cut any wires! Over all these are awesome headlights and give the car a very aggressive look!!!!

Completes the darker front end look.

After installing a Saleen grille and matte black LeMans stripes I noticed something was missing. I saw another Mustang with the Raxiom headlights and I wanted a set for my mustang. The installation is a little intimidating when it comes to removing the front bumper. Just taking my time and all is well. Just love the finished look of all black on the front end. Lighting is outstanding.
