How to Install JLT Brake Cooling Kit - Silver Bezels (15-17 GT, EcoBoost, V6) on your Ford Mustang

Please review complete instructions prior to installing. 

1 Verify you have all of the following parts included in the kit: (2) JLT Grille Bezels, (2) Brake Duct Hoses, (2) Zip ties, (2) JLT backing plates (4) #40 hose clamps (2) brackets and required hardware

2 Gather all of the following tools needed for the installation: Jack, jack stands, lug wrench, 5/16 or 8mm nut driver, 7/32 socket, 15mm socket, 13mm socket and ratchet

3 Jack car up and secure on jack stands.

4 Remove both front wheels.

5 Remove (2) 15mm bolts and remove brake caliper, rotor and shields from both right and left front.


6 Using the supplied bolts, nuts and bracket attach the JLT backing plate to the knuckle.


7 Remove 4 push pins from fender liner and pull back to get to the fog light.


8 Remove the 4  7mm bolts holding on the fog light and bracket.

9 Slide JLT Bezel into fog light hole and push in until it snaps in.

10 Attach one end of the cooling hose to the bezel and other end to JLT backing plates. Route the hose under the control arm and between the frame and sway bar to the backing plate. Use the supplied clamps to secure hose to bezel and plate. to the sway bar with Zip ties as shown.


11 While still jacked up, be sure to mount wheel and check clearance between hose and tire. Turn the wheel full turns left and right

12 Reassemble splash shield, brakes and wheels in reverse and you are done. Don’t forget to re torque your lug nuts after a few miles of driving. We suggest 100 ft lbs.
