Improves Handling Performance. Upgrade the suspension of your S197 Mustang with Koni Sport Front Struts for improved handling and performance. Sport Yellow Struts are Koni's top-of-line performance struts designed to be direct fit replacements for your factory units and are the ideal match for performance lowering springs and sway bars.

Adjustable. The adjustable option of the Koni Sport struts allows you to adjust compression and rebound with just a twist of a knob. Turn the knob clockwise and soften the dampening, counter clockwise stiffens the dampening.

Quality Construction. Koni Sport Series front struts feature a gas pressurized twin-tube design with a larger-diameter piston for optimum street performance. This strut is completed in a classic yellow finish with the world-famous KONI logo.

Application. This Koni Sport Adjustable Front Strut is designed for use on all 2005 to 2010 Ford Mustangs, including the V6, GT, Bullitt and Shelby GT500 models. Sold individually; Two required per Mustang.

        3 Top Rated Questions

I bought the Eibach pro sport plus handling package. The front is extremely stiff in the front. Also the wheels sink almost into the fender (front only). I am looking to raise them about a half an inch to make the rim and fender gap even all the way around and also make the ride quality a little bit softer. Will these Konis do the trick?

        • These will work with your handling package but it won't get you the extra half inch lift you are looking for. It would only change the compression and rebound.

will these lift the front of my vehicle i am having issues where my bumper is hitting the speed bumps

        • The KONI Sport Adjustable Front Strut allows you to adjust the dampening and rebound. However, this strut does not allow you to adjust the height meaning this is intended for the stock ride height.

Where is the nob to adjust the strut located?

        • The knob to adjust the struts will be a black adjustment knob on the top of the strut that will be visible in the engine bay sticking out of your strut towers.

            Worth the $$$$$

I installed these struts along with the shocks on my '06 Mustang; there was a noticeable improvement in ride quality. Having the adjustability of compression and rebound is helpful and easily done. Keep in mind you may have to have a hardware stash, the threading is not the same as the stock shocks.

            Best Bang for you $$$

What I had only 2010 GT was a the Ford performance struts both front and rear. The front passenger blew out thanks to an incredibly deep pot hole. I've only put about 100miles on these new struts but man let me tell you they make a world of difference. I'd even say they're better then the Ford Racing struts. Granted it's been maybe 5 yrs since I installed the Ford Racing struts so I can give a side by side comparison. But from what they were before the blown strut to what it is now is night and day difference. I would highly recommend these to any Mustang enthusiasts!

            Solid upgrade!

This is a nice upgrade over stock. Simple 3hr install using a jack and stands in my garage. No spring compressor needed, you can use your jack to back the struts out. I noticed a smoother ride on softest setting for the street. Haven't had an opportunity to do any track work on firm settings yet but have no doubt they will perform. They also look great!

            Definitely needed when you lower

Installed both rear adjustable shocks and front adjustable struts on my 07 Mustang GT convertible. I have them set on sport mode now and drove 500 miles back from NC to Indiana. I could definitely tell a huge difference in the dampening over the stock shocks and struts. Car has been lowered 1.4 inches and the original were always bottoming out.

I love the improvement made by using these Koni's. They compliment the many suspension changes I have made to my 2006.

            best shocks

firm n smooth with rears also, frpp "p springs" ,BMR lower arms, relocators, and the needed adjustable panhard bar, and anti-sway (I did support for panhard)..someone put steeda ultralites in and blew out the shocks...so I lowered it right. With the right stuff all purchased here except p springs

            Great upgrade

Install will take about 4-6 hours if you do it yourself and have a good knowledge of how to do it. For me it was 6 total but I also did the rear shocks as well as lower control arms up front. Had to buy a spring compressor but was well worth it. If you are doing the struts and are thinking about doing the control arms just go ahead and do it so you dont have to take it all apart again. Also you will need an alignment after but once that was done for mine it rode so much nicer. The difference between just a half turn on the adjustment is very noticeable. If you have a lowered car like mine these will 100 help smooth out the ride.

            KONI Sport Adjustable Front Struts

These struts are far better than stock and well worth it. Installed on my 2005 Mustang GT, they have transformed my ride. Soft setting for winter when roads are frozen, and firm setting on track day let me customize the response, and really improve cornering on the road courses. I am using with GT500 strut bearing plates, and Koni Sport rear shocks, and the combination delivers the performance I was looking for. Owned the car for 13 years, and it was past-time for this upgrade!

            Koni Yellows

In typical American Muscle fashion, shipping was prompt and precise, very satisfied. Good quality product and enjoy the ride. Matched with Eibach pro springs and MM caster camber plates. It’s a nice compliant ride, I have them set at 2 full turns front and rears as I appreciate a more firm ride. In fact next up will be firmer springs. A few items required when ready to install, new set of strut housing nuts and bolts, new isolators either rubber or poly. Installation not difficult, simply takes time. Lots of info on line.

            Fantastic

After lowering my car about 2 inches, it was a pretty rough ride... which is expected. After getting these installed, the ride is phenomenal. Still stiff but much less harsh, more predictable and feels more planted than with stock struts/shocks. Adjusting is super easy - ive had mine almost as soft as they can be- still much stiffer than stock. Highly recommended!

            NOT BAD

Installation was pretty easy and straight forward. . . Although be it - I have a lift in my garage. If you dont it will be a task. Only in the rear - the front not at all. Also if you dont have a spring compressor as per I did not - I had to take the fronts to a shop in order to be SAFELY put together prior to install. Overall BIG ride improvement over stock. Highly recommend the adjustable. First time out too soft in the rear - Second time out to hard. . . Finally in my opinion I have found the right combo for me. Half way in the front and 3/4 towards the firm side.

            Stick to the road

These struts with a set of Steeda lowering spring will make you car hug the ground under any driving style. I started a the soft setting, then to the full stiff setting to check them out. I left them on the full stiff setting because I like no body roll. LOVE THESE STRUTS !

Great product, easy install, fits like OEM. Car takes corners with almost no noticeable body roll. Even on full stiff, I don't find it uncomfortable but the handling is superb.

This is the one! Just buy it!

I have a 2012 brembo GT and did this kit, gt500 strut mounts, steeda BOSS competition springs, bmr adjustable phb, bmr phb brace. I set these at 1.5 turns front and 1 turn rear from full soft. I am nothing short of blown away. I have no prior experience with aftermarket suspensions, but I have driven things like Lancer evolution, 350 and 370Z, etc. My GT is now hands down the best handling car I've ever driven. I installed everything myself in an afternoon on jackstands. It is an easy install if you work on cars regularly. The car rides much better than I thought it would. It's difficult to describe but I assure you it is not harsh unless you bottom the suspension out. The car has almost zero nose dive, body roll, nose lift, etc. It is far more stable over broken pavement. My wheel hop is all but gone (just installed bmr lca's and relocation brackets haven't driven yet due to rain) the car spins instead of hopping so we will see if the new parts fixes that. Overall I'm very impressed. I considered the koni strt, steeda dampers, and these. I was concerned the others wouldn't handle the springs I wanted so I got these. On full soft the ride was a little bouncy (underdamped) so I would recommend these if you want to run stiff springs as the strt equals these on full soft. Also, I ordered everything from AM very fast shipping and great customer service as always.
