Ask a Question

Are these compatible with the Ford Racing Jounce/Bump Stop Kit? Or is that item not required for these? I am not finding a definitive answer on this.

  • The Bilstein B6 HD strut install manual specifically mentioned it has "internal bump stops." So, it's built in and requires no more additional bump stop inserted. I also have the Bilstein B6 HD rear shock paired with Ford Racing Lowering P springs. I purchased and installed the "rear" Ford Racing Jounce bump stops (just hold on to the "front" bump stops for a rainy day) because Ford specifically indicated those bump stops work with their lowering P springs. So far, that combo on the rear of my 2008 Mustang GT is working great! Again, you don't need to install additional bump stops on the strut.

Will these work for 2011- 2014 Mustangs utilizing the GT500 strut mounts?

  • Yes for the (GT 11-14), The GT500 Strut Mounts (sounds like the mounts are not yet installed) are bigger than the stock GT strut mounts so the (05-10) Struts accommodate the size difference. Refer to FRPP GT500 Suspension Kits for (11-14) GT. Good luck on future Mods

SR Performance Spring Will these fit with the SR Performance Springs?

  • Yes these will work great with SR springs. Make sure to get the proper strut mounts or caster camber plates.

    Just put them on!

Just put on my 2008 GT with 120K miles. 8 months, I installed Ford Lowering P springs, Bilstein B6 HD shocks rear, and SR Panhard bar. Finally doing the front struts change. Anyway, I put the Bilstein B6 HD front struts on with GT500 strut mounts (I was getting this front end clank noise before). Oh man, this cars rides really good! Supple yet firm. Planted feel. Corner killer! AM even price matched me...GREAT SERVICE AM! TIP: you DON'T need install exterior bump stop...these Bilstein's have "internal" bump stops. But stick Ford Racing jounce bump stops on rear. Good to go!

Great springs for an absolutely aggressive drop

Having had Super Sports on my 97 Cobra, I knew what to expect on my 2014 GT. A very aggressive drop, stellar handling, and not an overly harsh ride. I paired these springs with Bilstein shocks and struts and the ride and handling is amazing. You'll need caster camber plates. Great product, fast shipping.

Great Shocks, Expensive But Worth It.

These shocks are of high quality. They can withstand a heavy beating and are much stiffer than stock, however they still absorb the bumps and feel great on the road. They are not harsh by any means. I paired them up with Eibach Pro kit and it rides somewhat similar to stock just a little stiffer. Much improved over my slammed stance H&R supersports with factory shocks. I highly recommend getting these if you want to plant your pony down nicely and want a tough shock that rides good. Amazing shocks, I love them!

2008 v6 with Bilstein HD Series

After 50,000 miles stock struts they had no resistance left. So when I put on these new struts they rode 100% better. I would recommend this to anyone who doesn't think their handling is as good as it should be and wants it improved. If you do buy these also get the GT 500 strut mounts this is becuase the new struts put too much pressure on stock mounts.
