The LEED Brakes Rear Disc Brake Conversion Kit with MaxGrip XDS Rotors and Black Calipers is designed to enhance braking efficiency and safety by converting rear drum brakes to modern disc brakes. This kit provides improved stopping power and easier maintenance, essential for spirited driving and daily use. It includes all necessary components for a complete rear disc brake system.
CONSTRUCTION AND APPEARANCE. The kit features cast iron rotors measuring 11.25 inches in diameter with drilled, slotted, and vented design for superior heat dissipation. The calipers are cast iron with a 54mm single piston design, finished in black powder coat for durability and corrosion resistance. All hardware is precision machined and zinc plated to ensure longevity and reliable performance in harsh conditions.
INSTALLATION. Designed for direct bolt-on installation using existing factory mounting points, this kit requires no special modifications or drilling. This straightforward setup is suitable for experienced enthusiasts and professional mechanics.
APPLICATION. Specifically engineered to fit Ford 7.5 and 8.8 rear axles with a 4-lug pattern found on the 1987-1992 Mustang Fox Body. Verifying axle housing flange dimensions before installation is recommended to ensure proper fitment.
