"The Boom Tube" This MAC Performance Axle-Back System eliminates the restrictive stock mufflers entirely from your Mustang, to uncork the exhaust flow reducing back pressure for an increase in power and sound.

Resonator Tips. Often imitated but never duplicated, the MAC Boom Tube Axle-back Exhaust uses uniquely designed dual wall resonator tips that feature perforated baffles to provide a loud throaty exhaust note without the irritating popping of the imitators.

Durable Steel Construction. Constructed from 2.5" diameter mandrel-bent 304 stainless steel tubing, the Boom Tube axle-back system features polished 4" angle cut stainless steel dual wall tips for impressive muscle car styling and sound.

Application. The MAC "Boom Tube" Axle-Back exhaust system is designed to fit the 2005-2010 GT, 2008-2009 Bullitt, and 2007-2010 Shelby GT500 Mustangs for impressive looks and sound. This axle-back is made to be a direct bolt on to the stock location without any modifications required.

Please Note. MAC Performance does not make any claims that their Boom Tube exhaust will meet any federal or local noise regulations or laws. Please check your local and state ordnances for installation and usage regulations.

Technical Note: Americanmuscle recommends adding the 2005+ Mustang 304 Stainless Steel Exhaust Hanger Kit from the drop down option above, to provide more strength, stability and a cleaner installed appearance. If you have a 2007 Mustang you may need the kit for correct installation.

5 2008 GT - GarBear Installation Time: Less than 1 Hour

I have these installed on my 2008 GT. They sound amazing alone! I bought these with a Pypes H-Pipe. Along with a pair of Dynomax Bullets. I have not installed the hpipe or bullets yet. I was looking for a deep note and nice idle. These are it, BOOM TUBE! I can't imagine how this beast will sound with everything on it. 10/10

        Mac boom tubes review

I received the exhaust fairly quick and had no problems with the shipping. When I opened up the box the exhaust was packaged very well and was wrapped in bubble wrap. After taking off my old stock axle back I started to install the boom tubes. Install was very straight forward and I didn’t need instructions. (Good thing because there was no instructions packed with the boom tubes) the exhaust lined up well with the back bumper very well and took me less than an hour and a half to do. The tone is amazing, very deep and low rumble. Loud at WOT and quiet when you need to be. On a loud scale of 1-10 this would be a 7.5. It can be a little louder but 100 a good quality product. I bought these for a 2007 Mustang gt California special.

5 2005 GT - DylanW Installation Time: Less than 1 Hour

        Great exhaust!

I bought these mufflers looking for something that was as loud as straight pipes but without the annoying drone and obnoxiousness that comes with it. These mufflers absolutely were everything I was looking for. In low gears the car screams when you get on it but when your cruising down the road on a trip they sound no louder than stock. When you fire the car up it's noticeably deeper and more alive than stock. Plus the massive tip on this thing sets the rear end of the car off. As far as install goes they give you everything you need and it all lined up like it was supposed to. I'm not a mechanic by any means but the install walkthrough and videos that AM supplies make it like a walk in the park. A little muscle to get the old equipment off and pretty well go in reverse when you put the new ones on. Took me about an hr to hr an a half to get it all done. Would be easier if you jack the rear of the car up to move better but I didn't and still got it done. If your looking for a classic aggressive tone, Here it is!!

        Mac boom axle backs.

Unbelievable how awesome they sound. I've used other axle Backs from comprable companies but honestly could not get the right sound. Mac boom did it

        Stock system boom tubes

Wasn't looking for something deafening just an aggressive sound. This was perfect, there's no drone and people have certainly been turning their heads. Better deal than name brands with the same quality

        Great Axle-Backs

Super easy install, fit like a glove with factory hangers. They sound great, not offensively loud but still give it a deeper, more aggressive tone with limited drone.

v6 dual exhaust? I have a 2008 grabber orange v6 with a single boom tube on it and I love the sound, so Ive decided to get duals. So I guess my question is can I justbuy the driver side one from AM instead of buying the axle back set?

      • Unfortunately, we don't have the dual axle-backs sold individually for each side. MAC direct might be able to work something out with you, but we only carry them as a pair.

Has anybody tried the Mac booms with longtubes headers? Drone wise? I’m debating between this or the roush extreme with longtubes I heard the extreme with longtubes the drone goes away at 2k while on highway.

      • When comparing the MAC Boom and the Roush, the Roush typically lends less of a drone.
