        4 2014 V6 - Tristan Installation Time: Afternoon

If you want a very loud exhaust this is it

So I have a 2014 v6 mustang and it already has a cai, tuner, and 3.73 gears and wanted new sound to it so I got the bbk long tube headers bbk off road mid pipe and the magnaflow competitions if you don't don't have a lift this will be a pain, the headers are the hardest part after that it is easy. But the sounds is very very loud and sounds mean it has a very nice rumble to it so if you want a loud exhaust this is the way to go

        New pipes

I like the way it sounds at idle, when its running sounds like one of those Japanese bumble bee cars but a little deeper. A minless drone around the 2500 rpms all in all since i paid so much and had them installed i guess im keeping them. They do free up some air it takes out the hesitation i had before i like that. Im not too sad considering it is a v6. I think many of the reviews were misleading. It doesn't sound like a stang unless you really dont know what a stang sounds like.

        wake up the neighbours!!!!

great product as always, fast delivery even here in canada, easy install (1 hour) but as a auto mechanic i had access to a lift and power tools, the hardest part was taking off the old exhaust, the new one fits perfectly and if you want to get noticed look no further! deep low growl while idling, that sweet rumbling between gear shifts and it really screams when you floor it!!! theres a little drone but after the break in period it should be all right! great exhaust!!

        5 2014 V6 - tornadoalley Installation Time: Afternoon

        Great sound

Shipment was fast and Magnaflow packed everything very well. Installation: You will not be able to remove/install the mid pipe with you car only on jack stands. A pit or lift will be needed. If you don't have either one you will need to take it somewhere to have installed. Fit: The drivers side fit in the center of the valance opening perfectly but the passengers side did not. The passenger muffler tip was sticking out about 2 inches more then the drivers side. To even things up I needed to pull the drivers side muffler out of the mid pipe an inch and pull the mid pipe out of the factory X pipe about an inch. Doing this did not cause any exhaust leaks. To center the passengers side tip in the opening I used a pipe wrench and bent the hangers on the muffler in the needed direction. All these adjustments were not hard to do. Sound: I waited to write a review until I put 200 miles on the new exhaust because there is a "break in" period. The first 30 miles I was having drone but as the exhaust broke in the drone went away. The sound is deep and throaty. It sounds great throughout all the RPM range. Compared to the Bassani axle backs I had this exhaust sounds more like a muscle car. I'm glad I changed to the Magnaflow Competition cat backs. The sound is exactly what I was expecting.

The perfect roar when coming down the road with no drone. When accelerating sounds like a true muscle car. Can feel the power increase from the immediate acceleration in the car. Love this exhaust system.

        It sounds like a stang

I listened to so many exhaust videos and decided that the magnaflow catbacks were the way to go. I wanted that deeper growl and enough sound to know I was in a mustang. Ordered Tues. and had them by Thurs. awesome. I had a garage install them and there was a small problem with the hangers on the one muffler were bent (during shipping) and had some minor adjustments to line up. I love the way they sound, when cruising just a little rumble, give it the gas and it lets you know you're driving a stang. Don't know whether it helped mpg , but did seem to help acceleration. Highly recommend these if you want your v6 to sound more like a v8.

        Great exhaust!

Spent about 2 months looking at exhausts and decided I would go with these. The video does not do it justice. It is very loud! Head turner for sure. It does drone in the cabin a little but if you have no problems with that then it is definitely for you. Great notes throughout all rpm's and can tell I got a power gain. Can't wait to drive every time I get the chance!

This product is defiantly worth the money

This exhaust is great, good rumbling sound with noticeable power gains. One of the loudest exhausts I've heard though so if that is what your looking for then go no further.

        I Love My Pony!!!

This is the best exhaust you can buy hands down! It's not too loud and raspy like borla ataks, It has a nice deep rumble to it. It's pretty quite at cruising speeds but in wot is when your pony means buisness. I installed these exhaust at a local shop with my brother, it only took an hour. It would have been done in 20 minutes but we forgot the clamps at home, so we had to drive back home to get them. The only complaint I have is on my right muffler one of the hangers came welded wrong so it's crooked and it doesn't look even with the other muffler, it bugs me evry time I look at them.

        5 2013 V6 - Blackstallion31 Installation Time: Afternoon

        Very aggressive!

Choosing an exhaust is a big decision, I spent months looking at videos and reviews trying to choose what one I liked best. All I can say is that I made no wrong choices with this exhaust. It is very aggressive, it has a nice deep tone, has no high pitched rasp, and is loud (but not obnoxiously loud). It's as if this exhaust is an appearance mod as well; it completely changes the persona of your car - you will definitely get the respect you deserve on the street. Since the install I can also feel a bit of a power gain, you can definitely tell there is a lot less back pressure and a lot more air flow. However, there is some sound in the cabin while driving which I know some people do not want. So if you don't like any sound inside the cabin while you're driving, then this is not the exhaust for you. This sound inside the cabin is like music to my ears, but to each his own. So if you want an exhaust that: - Is very aggressive - Turns heads - Has no high pitched rasp - Allows you to hear its great sound inside the cabin - Frees up a lot of back pressure - Changes the persona of your car This is the exhaust for you!

So I'm trying to pair this up with a set of BBK Shorty Headers as well as the BBK Catted X-Pipe. Will I have the deeper and louder sound of a V8 or will I have that higher pitched raspy sound that everyone dreads?

      • The Magnaflow Competition Cat-Back Exhaust will give your car a deep raspy V8 sound. This will be a great edition with the BBK Headers and X-Pipe.

Having a difficult time deciding between Magnaflow and Borla. Seems like more people purchase the Borla too. I want a nice low grumble when I idle in my V6 14. Getting the C L intake as well. Are the Utah approved?

      • The Magnaflow exhaust will give you the V8 sound that you are looking for however it will provide a different sound at idle than the Borla will. As far as being approved for Utah, as long as Utah has not adopted the California emissions regulations, these can be used on your vehicle. For further information please contact your local authorities or DMV.

What are the expected power gains (if any) from this exhaust if I'm converting from the stock exhaust?

      • Power gains with exhausts will be minimal, the top gains will be around 10 HP but this exhaust will be around 5 HP or so depending on the type of tune you have with your vehicle.

I'm curious about the noise level of the Competition Series compared to the the Street Series. I'm looking for an exhaust that adds a louder and more aggressive muscle car sound than the stock exhaust, but not be "that guy" with the obnoxiously loud or over-the-top exhaust. This may be more of an opinion question, but what is your take on the sound levels between the two exhausts?

      • The Magnaflow Competition Cat-Back Exhaust - 4 in. Tips (13-14 V6) will be a good amount louder then then street series. However like you have said this would be very opinionated. I would recommend going to some local car shows or looking up some sound clips online.
