Description
Emissions Control Solution. The Magnaflow Universal Catalytic Converter; California Grade CARB Compliant; 2.25-Inch; Front is engineered to effectively reduce harmful vehicle emissions while maintaining optimal engine performance. Designed for universal use, it fits various vehicle applications and ensures compliance with strict CARB regulations to keep the check engine light off and pass emissions tests.
Construction and Appearance. This catalytic converter is constructed from durable 16 gauge 409 stainless steel tubing that offers exceptional corrosion resistance and longevity. It features a spun stainless steel body with high-strength 308 stainless steel MIG welds and a single laser fusion weld to minimize leaks. The unit includes a ceramic substrate designed for efficient catalytic reaction without any attached heat shield or mounting hardware.
Installation. Installation requires professional welding as clamps and hangers are not included. The compact, lightweight design allows installation in tight spaces, but drilling is not necessary for fitting the catalytic converter itself.
Warranty. This catalytic converter comes with a 5-year limited construction and emissions warranty for peace of mind.
Application. This product fits 1980 to 1983 Mustangs with 2.3L, 3.3L, or 4.2L engines; 1983 to 1986 Mustangs with 3.8L engines; and 1983 to 1985 Mustangs with 5.0L engines. It is designed specifically for these applications and may not fit other generations or vehicles due to size and configuration differences.
