Faster Launches. Plant your Pony's rubber firmly to the road with a pair of Maximum Motorsports' rear lower control arms. Unlike other aftermarket control arms, Maximum Motorsport's arms feature a unique design to reduce axle windup. The result? Faster, straighter launches and lower 60 foot times.

Better Handling. The stock rubber control arm bushings can bind when you're cornering, causing your Mustang to suddenly and unpredictably lose traction. Maximum Motorsports uses a 3-part bushing at the chassis end of the arm that stays rigid under acceleration but allows for movement when cornering for maximum handling. On the axle end, they use a Teflon-lined spherical bearing for freedom of motion and to prevent chassis damage.

Made to Last. The Maximum Motorsports lower control arms feature a durable black powdercoat for a great-looking, long-lasting finish.

Application. These Maximum Motorsports lower control arms are designed to fit 1999 to 2004 Mustangs and are sold as a pair.

    Fitment: 1999 2000 2001 2002 2003 2004 Details

      What you expect

High Quality Control arms highly recommend makes car control immense over stock. Just get a pry bar and breaker bar, I did it with Jack stands and had to jack up pretty high but is still sorta easy job. Also used hydraulic press to get bushings in. Don't know if others needed to do this but bushings weren't fitting in perfect.

      MM Rear Lower Control Arms

I have to say that purchasing this upgrade was a win win all the way around. Superior performance and quality for half the price of flimsy OEM replacement parts. Yes, 2003 Mach1 OEM rear lower control arms were $249 EACH from my local auto parts store. American Muscle offered the MM version (MMRLCA-5) at $259 for the set. I used a $10 coupon code and the free shipping which equaled HALF THE PRICE. Installation was pretty simple. My only issue was that the included instructions were very generic. The photocopied diagrams showed very little detail. If you are running any kind of aftermarket exhaust, you will need to loosen and lower the mufflers about 3 inches so that you can remove the front mounting bolts. Besides that, everything went very smoothly. Its been a week and the noticeable binding "popping" sound while making a very sharp turn has completely disappeared. The noticeable suspension stiffness has softened up. The wheel spin (after initial installation)appeared to be worse but, after driven around a bit and broken in ,it has improved dramatically. Overall opinion is that this purchase was an amazing Win-Win. I would definitely recommend these to other folks.

      Best LCA on the market

These worked so well on my prior Mustang GT that I bought them again. These are a great option for a non adjustable lower control arm. My car feels more planted. The rear axle doesn't feel loose and rubbery when you hit bumps and traction on take off is greatly improved. It's harder to break the tires loose. Maximum Motorsports is one of the best brands for mustang suspension.

MM lower arms make a big difference at launch.

looking for some upgrades at your suspension, I would start with control arms they make a big difference if you like to go hard on launches.

      Instant noticeable handling difference

install is simple and quality is great. the difference is clear, when going from stock. the car no longer dips down/ twists when stepping on the gas. The car also goes straight now also when spiritedly starting from a stop.

      Highest quality control arms.

I installed these control arms and it is literally hard to break the rear end loose on my mustang now. The quality of the welds on these control arms id phenomenal. The install took about an hour and let me tell you that these lower control arms make a huge difference in the way the car handles. They keep the tires planted on the pavement where they belong. I highly recommend these control arms.

      Great product

Very simple to install and you will notice a huge difference in the stiffness of your suspension. Plants the wheels to the ground and keeps your car in a straight line. You will need new hardware for the rear of the control arm. The bolts will be seized in stock control arms and have to be cut off. Buy them from ford or u will have a clicking in your suspension. At least mine had to just wanted to give a heads up so you arent stuck without bolts.

      good quality

I bought these because my car needed new RLCA bushings, so with that being said there was a tremendous improvement. install was easy, but AM should edit there install guide. once i lowered the control arm the rear end rolled and i could not get the arm realigned. used a tow strap and a 2nd jack and took no time to correct. and the reason I'm giving 4 stars is because MM supplied me with 4 nuts (im assuming for the sway bar) but it really would have been nice if they through in new control arm nuts and bolts. overall im extremely happy though. i will continue to use AM and MM.

      Great suspension upgrade

Easy and quick install, and I could notice the difference at the track the same weekend. Glad I decided to finally upgrade my suspension before the blower install!

      Maximum Motorsports Lower Control Arms

I replaced the factory LCAs with the Maximum Motorsport ones. The MM ones are heavy duty. I especially like how they have a spherical bushing on the axle end. There was nothing that I didn't like about them. I went with MM over other brands because of MM's reputation.

      Simply Amazing!!!

You really don't get an idea just how weak your stock LCAs are until you install these. I immediately noticed a difference, even just driving around town. Definitely recommend for everyone. Installation wasn't bad at all. Make sure you have two jacks, 18mm socket, 21mm socket, torque wrench good to 110ft/lb and dropping your catback makes the top bolts much easier. I did it myself and it took ~ 3 hours.

      Good for the street

I bought these for my 2004 Mustang GT. They improved the ability to plant the tires and go straight. They're plenty good for the street, on street tires. However, these are not sufficient for hard launching at the strip. I broke two bushings within 5 trips to the strip with my 265rwhp car running on Nitto 555R drag radials.

      Buy The Best!

Maximum Motorsports Lower (and Upper) control arms rock! They hold up well at launch and hold up really well when you start throwing your stang in and out of turns. Along with the BBK Polyurethane Spring Isolators the ride quality has also greatly improved, and if your stang is lowered significantly, as you could imagine, this is a VERY welcome plus. Overall Im happy with them and Ill check back after I hit the drag strip. Also- I had a pair of J&M Lowers to look at side by side and let me tell you.... THERE IS A DIFFERENCE! Maximum Motorsports are MUCH stronger... based off weld quality, tubing/ metal thickness, and bushing design/ quality. Just spend the money and get the BEST!
