I really like the look of the tips over the stock ones. Sounds good. Little more of a purr than I expected but it's not bad. If you're going to install yourself be prepared to cut some pipes. Overall good ...

Ask a Question

Would i be able to put rtr axle backs on this setup?

Eric

  • A catback is just an axleback setup with extra piping to reach the midpipe, so there isn't really a use-together option. However, I guess you could cut and weld the axleback onto what would be the existing catback if you wanted.

Will this part work with the bbk catted x pipe ?

Russ

  • The MBRP Cat-Back Exhaust - Aluminized (11-14 V6) will be able to work with the BBK Catted X-Pipe (11-14 V6) item #56232 (www.americanmuscle.com/bbk-catted-xpipe-1113v6.html) as they both have the same piping size at 2.5".

I currently have the pypes axleback on my 12' v6 and they seem to make a loud vibrating/rattling noise when driving anything over about 2200 rpm. They're a straight though design, my question is putting this cutback on will i continue to have that problem. I currently have bbk long tube headers, x pipe(no cats on either), bama tune and jlt intake as well. I've chacked under the car and everything is perfectly secure and tightened down. So it's nothing like that. But the rattling has to go!

  • Put some rubber hose or anything rubber on the hangers, I had the same issue, the vibrations cause the metal hangers to rattle

    Mbrp catback

Was expecting to be a little louder, but still sounds great and really growls when you floor it. Exhaust tips look excellent and really makes the car sound like a muscle car should.

    Nice sound. Not too loud.

I made many modifications to my Mustang, but held off because of the sound and reviews of other exhausts. Most were too loud, or made the cars sound like 350z or G35s. This actually makes the V6 Mustang sound like a Mustang, without being too loud.

Better note, not for the obnoxiously loud

Install was easy enough. Did by myself with just a couple of ramps. Exhuast note is better than stock. But not very loud. If your looking to get attention, look elsewhere.
