Description
High-Performance Flywheel. The McLeod Aluminum Flywheel; 6 Bolt is designed to enhance the performance of LS-series engines, particularly the LS1 and LS6. It reduces rotating mass to improve throttle response and acceleration, making it ideal for applications requiring rapid RPM changes, including supercharged or turbocharged setups.
Construction and Appearance. Crafted from CNC-machined 6061 T6 aluminum for strength and lightweight characteristics, the flywheel features a replaceable steel friction plate and a 1045 steel hardened ring gear. It has a precision-engineered finish designed for high-stress automotive applications.
Installation. Installation requires moderate mechanical expertise and does not need specialized drilling. The design includes alignment pins to ensure proper pressure plate positioning and added strength during assembly.
Warranty. This product is backed by a 90-day warranty against defects in material and workmanship.
Application. Specifically engineered to fit 1997-2013 Corvette C5 and C6 models, excluding the ZR1 variant due to differences in crankshaft and transmission configurations.
