But with the McLeod Hydraulic Slave Conversion Kit, your Mustang is going to switch effortlessly and efficiently as she powers through the gears.

    Built to Withstand Change. The McLeod Red powder-coat is present on all solid and hollow aluminum pieces of this kit, including the master and slave cylinders and the Quadrant, which has a stylish McLeod Club Logo cutout. The feed tubes are crafted from braided stainless steel, which are also equipped with quick disconnect fittings.

    Shift Effortlessly. With stock cable-shifters, there's noticeable drag and resistance when changing gears. The superior quality of the McLeod Hydraulic System takes all of that extra drag and throws it out the window, leaving only easy, effortless shifting thanks to the magic of hydraulics. You'll feel less pedal pressure, easier shifting, and improved performance.

    Installation. This is a rather involved installation process. You will need mechanical expertise to ensure that this installs correctly.

      Helps, but doesnt completely fix, a stiff clutch

      Swapped in a performance clutch last year. It was too stiff for the quadrant and cable system. Sooooo….Invested in this kit PROs: 1. Install 2 hours. Hardest part was drilling and mounting the reservoir. 2. Improved clutch stiffness--Now midway between stock clutch and the stiff and difficult to shift monster I had before this purchase. 3. Cleaner shifts because of the shorter engage and disengage distance of pedal 4. The red finish looks GOOD! Wish it came in blue! CONs: 1. The hose connecting the master and slave cylinder broke at the quick release fitting. Spent $27 at local hydraulic shop to get a new hose made. The quick release is unnecessary! Mcleod could probably cut the price by $50 with no quick release. 2. The fluid reservoir bracket is made so it can only be mounted on strut tower or on inner fender under the hood hinge. Wish Mcleod had included a different fluid reservoir to mount on the firewall above the master cylinder--where it belongs! 3. "Crunchy" feeling clutch pedal. Gonna to spray lube on the quadrant and master-cylinder cable to see if it improves feel. 4. The end of the master cylinder rides on my engines valve cover. It allows the master cylinder to pivot off axis in the firewall adapter and move with the engine. Over all this kit is a band-aid to improve the clutch stiffness and drivability. I should drop the trans and put in a less stiff clutch.

      Good quality

      Parts appear to be good quality. Shipping was slower than usual and was missing short quick disconnect hose
