NOTE: This is a high-performance tire intended for use during summer months or warm temperatures only. Use during cold weather will greatly reduce performance, traction and handling, and greatly increase stopping distance. If using this tire in a drag or track environment during cold weather, we strongly recommend performing a pre-run burnout to nominalize the tread compound's temperature.

Fitment on lowered car Will these fit a 2013 gt lowered 1.5" with the SR spings without rubbing?

    cbearss

    • Shouldn't have any issues with fitment in the rear lowered 1.5, I wouldn't suggest a 2 inch drop in the rear

    Will a 315/35/17 work on a 17x9 Cobra R rim?

    ChristopherP

    • The largest tire we would recommend for a 17" x 9" wheel is a 275mm tread width tire. A 315 may be able to mount, however, that would be highly dangerous and the tire can de-bead, and we would strongly recommend against it. Depending on the year of the mustang, the recommended size for proper fitment may vary. We would recommend 255-40-17 for 1994-1998 Mustangs and 275-40-17 for 1999-2004 Mustangs.

What type of tread life would be expected out of these? I know that it varies from driver to driver especially based on usage. I am looking for something that will last longer than the Pireli Pzero factory tires. I live in Florida and dont feel as though the factory tires lasted long enough.

    Rock85

    • Yes, the pirelli's have been suffering in life span due to ford pumping out more, and more powerful mustangs every other year it seems, with out upgrading the PZero's. my 07 V6 stockers lasted 60k! my 13 GT 5.0 stockers lasted 28K and that was pushing it. These micky T's are created by performance nuts that do not particularly care about tread life... 20K and there done... However the perfomance you get out of them are amazing.

I have a 2017 mustang gt ,It says recommended for 285/35R19 is a 19x10. so would it be safe or not to put 285/35R19 on a 19x9.5 rim?

    DiegoL

    • Hello, yes you can still fit a 285 tire on a 9.5 inch wide wheel. Although we do offer our "recommended size" this tire still fits a few other width wheels, a 9.5 inch is still safe.

How many miles warranty these tires have

    Wasif

    • These tires do not have a mileage warranty as the driving habits, driving conditions, tire and vehicle maintenance all play a part in the tread life of a tire and all differ with each purchaser.

Will the 305/35/20 fit my rouah wheels which are currently running 275/35/20. They are 9.5 inch would they fit?

    Aj1586

    • A Mickey Thompson Street Comp Tire in 305/35R20 would fit on a 20x9.5 inch wheel, however, depending on the offset of the wheel, the year model of your Mustang and its suspension components you may run into some fitment issues.

      EXCELLENT IN WET WEATHER

These tires will fit the 2011+ 19x9 Brembo package wheels great!! The rain grooves in these tires are awesome, I've had lots of wide tires in the past but i have noticed NO hydroplaning what so ever. These are not the softest tires in the world, but offer decent traction when warm and will give great mileage.

      great all around tire

This tire is great all around. I have been running it on the front end of my daily driver 2013 5.0 for the last 1600 miles. So far I have absolutely nothing to complain about. It looks beefy, It handles well even in rain, and it is smooth and quiet. I am currently also running its big brother the Micky Thompson 285s on the rear, but I am positive this tire is more than capable of handling the rear power of the 5.0 even better than the stock 235/255 Pirelli's. The only down side that I can think of, however might be the somewhat short tread life. At around 16-22 thousand miles (some people punish their tires more then others) you will need a new set. For the $$$ you can't beat it

      Best Tire

For just over 200 dollars a tire, you cannot ask for better performance on the street. So far, they hook up better than anything else I had on the car(Firehawks, Coopers, and Hankooks) and they were cheaper. Even in the wet they dont slip. They also have outperformed on the autocross track for those of us looking for that edge.

      Great tire for the money!

VERY happy with these tires. Have them on a set of 19x10 AMR wheels(front and rear) and they look amazing. Wet/cold traction is certainly not the best, but since this is a summer only tire I cannot complain at all. Extremely nice looking tread pattern, kinda looks like an old school BFG KDW tire, which I love. Sidewall stability can be noticed very easily here, these are easily 10x firmer in the corners than the stock Pirellis. I think M/T will have a hit with these on the pony car market judging by looks alone. Took my car for a trip to upstate NY in December, while up there it started to snow. VERY impressed with these Mickeys in snowy conditions. While not an all season tire it did WONDERFULLY in the snow/freezing rain mix provided the driver acted responsibly. And in all honesty that is more than you can ask of a tire which is clearly out of its element in snowy corners and back roads of Northern NY. Very pleasantly surprised with these tires so far, and the car they were on in general(2013 GT.)

      Great tire for money

The only disappointment about these tires is the fact they are made in china. They are quiet , ride great and corners like they are hooked to the road. The staggered wheels with bullit wheels look great. Rears will spin very easily especially with 500 ponies so if you are planning on going to the track buy some drag radials for the back for track time.

      Super Grip

These MT tires are hot and grip the road perfectly. The road noise produced is less than the factory tires and once you get your Pony up to the "correct" mphs they feel even better than cruising speeds. The Long and short of it is.... Get a nice wide tire and enjoy these bad boys!! The fact that they have better treadwear than a Eagle F1 of similar size and are cheaper makes them even better!!! P.S. They also make people turn their heads and come up and try to read the size. :-)

Great Tires and Cheaper than Stock

I purchased these for my 2012 GT Brembo car. First thing I noticed, the feedback that the tires give back. Just like the stock Pirellis, they almost tell you right before they are going to break loose. Ride is perfect, grip is out of this world for daily and spirited driving and wet traction is as-expected for a UHP tire; no hydroplaning so far even at 60+ mph. Basically, they feel and act exactly the same as the Pirelli P-Zeros UHP Summer tires that came with the car, but at $130 savings PER TIRE. They also look a little more muscular than the Pirellis. The ONLY drawback that I've found is the dirt and grime that come on the tires when new. It takes forever to get it all cleaned off and to get the tires looking black. Even some tire-black and tire shine doesn't 100% get rid of it after multiple cleanings and scrubbing, but none of that affects the tire itself. Overall, the Mickey Thompson Street Comp tire is fantastic and American Muscles customer service, shipping, and price is second to NONE!

I am now on my second set of rear tires, had the last set for almost 3 years. I was very impressed with how they handled in the rain as much as dry traction. Only suggestion I have for you Folks that enjoy dragging your Stang is heat them up first to get the traction your looking for, otherwise you will sit and spin! STICKY

This is some very good rubber. I have put almost a thousand miles on these so far and have driven in all kinds of weather. They are some sticky tires that won't let go of the road. They are a little rougher riding than what was on my stock 18s, but that is to be expected. On wet roads, they are much better than the pzeros, but there is just a touch of slip that can be felt. Overall these are amazing tires. From the side they almost have the appearance of drag radials. You won't be sorry if you go with these.
