Can I add to existing ford coolant that's currently in there, car is new, so no need to flush yet.

  • The Mishimoto Liquid Chill Radiator Coolant Additive will not require you to flush the pre-existing coolant. Just open the radiator cap or coolant reservoir cap and add the mixture from the bottle to the system.

Can I Use This During Winter And When Does It Need To Be Replaced? Hello, I have a 04/V6 and i was wondering if this would cause a problem during winter? Also how long can i go until a flush/change?

  • Yes you can use all year round. As far as flush, you would still follow ford guidelines per your owners manual

    liquid chill

it works but it hard to tell how well it works with factory gages i noticed a differince the first time my thermostat opened the gage went from just a little over the normal mark to just below the normal mark so i would say between 20 to 30 degree diffirence a must for street/strip.

    Did not see a change

I didn't really notice any difference in temperature after adding this stuff to my coolant. However, I am still using the stock temperature gauge which, as I understand, is not as accurate as aftermarket gauges.

Typically my car would hit about 204 when it was about 90 degrees outside. Since I put the chill in the car the outside temperature has been as high as 100 and my car has not gone over 196. I will be buying again!!

    horrible, not worth the money.

Took my mustang to a custom shop to have cooling system for my Whipple blower flushed and drained. they filled system with gold colored coolant and distilled water, all it did when Liquid Chill was added was foam like you cant imagine, ended up flushing system 3 times with gold colored coolant and distilled water and there was still some foam in the system, ended up pulling all hoses and flushing the whole system with tap water and then with more distilled water, using some compressed air to blow out hoses and every thing else. then it was reassembled and a 70/30 mix of gold colored coolant 30 and distilled water 70 no more problems after. cooler runs nice and cool. AMERICANMUSCLE did give me my money back plus shipping, but this does not make up for all the extra labor I ended up with, plus the cost of all the extra ford gold coolant and water, not very happy and I really had to refrain myself from using certain words while writing this review. and if I could give product less than 1 star I would. Not to mention I have been a dedicated customer for years and many many products bought and I had to argue to get the shipping cost included in the refund.

takes longer to rise temps and when I first poured it in I heard bubbles crackling which means it does remove bubbles I was looking for a water pump additive lubricant but upon expert research I found they cannot be maintained like that. What causes water pump failure is caviation from the bubbles that pop and get trapped in the water pump. Removing bubbles also makes coolant temps drop as the air pockets disappear. This is exactly what is needed. I do no thave a Mustand, I have a '13 BMW 750xi but I have to click a mustang to get my review out.

I don't really notice a difference in temperature. Put it in and the temperature gage stays the same. Can't tell if it works

    Beat the Heat!

Simple solution to beat the heat and really lower those operating temperatures. I used this additive paired with Reische's 170 Degree Thermostat and dropped 25-30 degrees from my operating temperatures. Definitely worth every penny.

    Radiator collant additive

All in all, it's a decent product. I saw a difference in my 96 cobra, nothing too drastic, possibly 20 degrees or so, but that is still 20 degrees cooler then it was before, for the price its not bad if you're going to drop a bottle in every time you do a coolant change. I recommend this product to the daily driver, not too sure how well it works with the super bored out Ponys, as I do not have a too terribly tricked out beast.

    Cheap compared to some alternatives

Added this to my standard Ford-spec coolant when changing to a Mishimoto radiator. Definitely less overheating problems, but difficult to say how much is due purely to the additive. It is cheaper than competitors like RedLine, etc, and probably just as good.
