Hey I’m Justin with AmericanMuscle.com, here with a way to keep your ride cool all while making a dramatic visual improvement under the hood as well, I’m talking about these Mishimoto aluminum radiators for your 94-04 Mustang. Mishimoto has become one of the industry leaders in producing quality performance radiators for just about any vehicle you can think of, from bone stock daily drivers to hardcore professional race cars. These direct replacements are a great solution to an old, damaged, or leaking factory rad, or for a heavily modded or forced induction car, where the cooling system just can’t keep up with the increased cooling needs. The Mishimoto will help keep your street or strip Mustang much cooler by using this 2 row core, which is going to allow for a 25% increase in cooling capacity next to your stock radiator. Every Mishimoto radiator is constructed using durable lightweight aluminum, features leak proof fittings, and are all hand welded to ensure top notch quality and fitment. On top of all that, every Mishimoto radiator is backed by a no questions asked, limited lifetime warranty. A big feature with the Mishimoto is their patent pending floating bracket mounting system, that eliminates a major flaw in the factory mount design. Because of the Mustangs torque the front of the car tends to flex under load, which can sometimes lead to a damaged radiator. The floating brackets attach to the side of the radiator, using these rubber grommets to absorb any movement, in addition Mishimoto has added breaks to the top and bottom header plates, that allow the radiator to flex without being damaged. Getting this installed may be slightly more difficult than installing say, a cold air intake for instance, but honestly it’s not that bad. Think of it as a giant oil change. Before getting started you will need something on hand to hold all that fluid, in this case we recommend having at least a 15 quart drain pan on hand, before you start draining your fluids. Once you get all the fluids drained, remove the hoses from the stock radiator, unbolt it, and remove it from the engine bay. Reinstall the new Mishimoto in reverse order, reattach the hoses and fill it with a 50/50 mix of coolant and water. Doing all this should take you no more than 2 hours. Any gearhead knows that heat is one of the worse enemies of performance, it can hurt power, damage your fuel mileage and worse of all damage your motor. So if you want to help your Mustang keep its cool whether it’s on the street or the track, then you’ll definitely want to check out one of these Mishimoto performance aluminum radiators, right here at AmericanMuscle.com

My factory radiator was bent and started to leak. I chose this replacement based on the ISO mounted brackets. The car isn't running any cooler but this was a pretty easy install. I did have to modify the factory cooling fan to fit the new radiator but it was really easy to do.Helpful (0)

Mishimoto did it right!
I wanted to wait to see how well this held up before posting. The last radiator ( name withheld) started leaking within months of purchase. I really like how this radiator is designed. It's independent of the car's frame. Letting the car flex without breaking the welds of the radiator. Well done Mishimoto.Helpful (2)

so far so good
Just got my new mishimoto radiator installed a couple of weeks ago and seems to be working well. It's running slightly cooler than it did with the previous off brand aluminum radiator that developed a crack in one of the welds. Also, the guys at the shop were impressed by the brackets and grommets that came with it which kept the radiator from touching almost anything but the fan. Should have bought this a couple of years ago.Helpful (2)

mishimoto 2 row radiator in '96 cobra
-mishimoto 2 row radiator... pretty basic. replaced a high-dollar 3 row that failed (fluidyne) with this cheaper unit. fit was not great, missing a slot for a fan clip, mounting posts were small, so it is sloppy, but it went in (had to push it max to the left so the top hose cleared the A/C refill tubing)... very lightweight, only two row, so lower capacity... no instructions to install the side brackets (only go on one way, but still), drain is in a horrible location (magnetic drain?? why?). -but the unit is probably better than the ford oem unit, and the packaging was awesome.... AND finally, the lifetime warranty,... need orig receipt, photo of radiator, and serial # and you get a new one... that's the reason to buy this radiator, and the reason it gets 4 stars.Helpful (2)

Nice but not worth the money
The fit and finish is very nice on this radiator, but doesnt cool any better on a warm day than the stock replacement radiator that was in the car . It does not have enough capacity to keep it cool at an idle in traffic it hits the exact same temp the $100 radiator did. I wish i would have spent the cash on something else . Atleast it come with a lifetime warranty.Helpful (2)

Install in stock 96 Mustang GT
Very impressed by product construction. Only negative is drain. No tub similar to orig radiator to attach hose to direct coolant. Cleaner just to loosen bottom rad hose and drain from there. Installed nicely except required one mod. The bracket under radiator that holds the support rod for the coolant tank will not let radiator seat in bottom mounting holes. I fab'ed a small plate to move rod bracket rearward 2 inches and down 1/2 inch. Bolted existing bracket to fab'ed plate and then re-bent rod to properly support coolant tank. Also had to shorten upper rad hose at rad to keep hose away from drive belt.Helpful (2)

Great fit and finish
This radiator fit perfectly. The box it was sent in was very well thought out and it arrived with no damaged fins. The mounting brackets were well built and should isolate the radiator from vibration. I have not driven the car a whole lot since installing this but before I put this on my temps would run around the "L" in normal with the AC on. I have not seen it climb past the "M" since installing this radiator.Helpful (4)

Poor fit, but keeps it cool.
My Mustang blew it's 6th radiator right before I left for vacation. I left it at the shop and ordered this Mishi radiator for them to install. The shop said that it was too tall, and then said that they had to fabricate a new degas bottle support rod mount. It's in now, but it was a hassle. On the other hand, if it will help keep my car from eating radiators like popcorn, it will be worth it.Helpful (3)

mishimoto really stepped up there game with these new radiator designs. if your looking for a good quality radiator that fits like it should for a decent price this is where its at!!Helpful (4)
Is this two or three row cause you guys video says three but some of comments say 2 ??
Sorry for any confusion. The Mishimoto Performance Aluminum Radiator w/ Stabilizer - Manual (96 4.6L) features a two-row, 1.57" thick, efficient brazed aluminum core.
will the stock 96 radiator fan work with this or will i need a new one?
Stock should be fine but I have found on both my 83 and 2003 that upgrading is a good idea and things run much cooler as much as 10 to 50 degrees. These radiators help cooling much better than stock and I have had no problems and easy to install.
