Hey I’m Justin with AmericanMuscle.com, here with a way to keep your ride cool all while making a dramatic visual improvement under the hood as well, I’m talking about these Mishimoto aluminum radiators for your 94-04 Mustang. Mishimoto has become one of the industry leaders in producing quality performance radiators for just about any vehicle you can think of, from bone stock daily drivers to hardcore professional race cars. These direct replacements are a great solution to an old, damaged, or leaking factory rad, or for a heavily modded or forced induction car, where the cooling system just can’t keep up with the increased cooling needs. The Mishimoto will help keep your street or strip Mustang much cooler by using this 2 row core, which is going to allow for a 25% increase in cooling capacity next to your stock radiator. Every Mishimoto radiator is constructed using durable lightweight aluminum, features leak proof fittings, and are all hand welded to ensure top notch quality and fitment. On top of all that, every Mishimoto radiator is backed by a no questions asked, limited lifetime warranty. A big feature with the Mishimoto is their patent pending floating bracket mounting system, that eliminates a major flaw in the factory mount design. Because of the Mustangs torque the front of the car tends to flex under load, which can sometimes lead to a damaged radiator. The floating brackets attach to the side of the radiator, using these rubber grommets to absorb any movement, in addition Mishimoto has added breaks to the top and bottom header plates, that allow the radiator to flex without being damaged. Getting this installed may be slightly more difficult than installing say, a cold air intake for instance, but honestly it’s not that bad. Think of it as a giant oil change. Before getting started you will need something on hand to hold all that fluid, in this case we recommend having at least a 15 quart drain pan on hand, before you start draining your fluids. Once you get all the fluids drained, remove the hoses from the stock radiator, unbolt it, and remove it from the engine bay. Reinstall the new Mishimoto in reverse order, reattach the hoses and fill it with a 50/50 mix of coolant and water. Doing all this should take you no more than 2 hours. Any gearhead knows that heat is one of the worse enemies of performance, it can hurt power, damage your fuel mileage and worse of all damage your motor. So if you want to help your Mustang keep its cool whether it’s on the street or the track, then you’ll definitely want to check out one of these Mishimoto performance aluminum radiators, right here at AmericanMuscle.com

Impressive and effective (Cool Runnins!)
This radiator looked impressive from the moment it came out the box. Quality of manufacture looks great. Fitment was trouble free, to include transmission lines. Effectiveness for reducing engine temps was better than expected. This radiator combined with a 160 degree HP thermostat did the trick for me. 94 GT w/ 331 stroker and automatic trans. Was running right at the top edge of normal, almost hot. Now temps stay in the bottom half of temp range, even with A/C on and running hard. I also like the vibration isolators, great feature. I'm very satisfied with this item.Helpful (1)

Good replacement for the factory setup
The radiator fits well in the car, no issues connecting to the A/T cooler with the factory lines. If you're thinking about getting a new radiator I'd recommend this one. Take your time and do it right. Cooling wise it works much better than the original piece, though from time to time the cooling fan will still come on. . . The 19psi setup was useful for me since I live at 7300 feet and still run the stock thermostat (absolute atmospheric pressure is about 3.5 pounds lower here than at sea level).Helpful (3)

A lot good, 1 little thing bad.
The Quick Review: Good unit, good fit, good purchase, good price. Overview: The unit was received in short time, it's a well made aluminum radiator with rubber grommets between the brackets that are bolted on the car so it won't twist and crack, very nice "C" welds on the unit. It's an easy install with a link to a video (video was for manuals, didn't show hook up of transmission cooling lines on the automatic). There wasn't an installation manual however. Unit fits and works great so far!! Pro: Cools well, have had it out playing and driving hard on the weekend and it didn't heat over 40% on the temp gauge. Cons: Transmission lines were too short to reattach to the radiator and I had to contact Mishimoto to send me 3 extenders to make the lines connect. Even with a thinner fan they were 2 inches short on top, 1 inch off on bottom. I didn't see the extenders were part of the "IN THE BOX" section so not sure if it was an oversight I didn't get them or not. The extenders did need plumbers tape to seal up so they didn't leak, I had to redo the connections after a few days due to leaking of transmission fluid. Waiting for Mishimoto to send me the extenders did leave my mustang on the rack for 4 days instead of the few hours the install should have taken. Their (and American Muscles) customer service was helpful and quick in responding to my needs so 5 star customer service from both companies.Helpful (3)
What size electric fan size goes with this? Which one do you recommend?
The Mishimoto Performance Aluminum Radiator with Stabilizer is designed to work in conjunction with your factory fan but it can be paired with the Mishimoto High Flow 14 in. Fan with Aluminum Shroud (item# 80221) for additional cooling.
I know this says that it will fit a 94-95 v6, but I have a 99 v6 and am curious as to if this will work for my car. The fill spout is in the same spot as well the upper and lower hose spouts. I guess the only other thing would be the mounting brackets and the transmission cooler fittings but I plan to use a Mishimoto transmission cooler. Thoughts as to if it will work? Thanks.
Unfortunately, the Mishimoto Performance Aluminum Radiator w/ Stabilizer - Automatic (94-95 5.0L, V6) is only designed for 94-95 5.0L and V6 Mustangs. We cannot guarantee fitment on any other years. If you do get this Radiator, you may need to do some modifications to make this work on your car.
